How many more voices must be silenced before justice finally speaks? How many tragedies must become headlines before change finally begins? The brutal inhumane murder of Ramisa has shook the nation to its core. DRMCMUNA stands in solidarity in demanding justice for ramisa. We strongly condemn such horrific acts and such acts cant be met with silence. Justice must be given as soon as possible so that no children will have to become another headline.

We stand here talking about policies, countries, big global issues but honestly, the first place we ever learned how to speak up was at home. From correcting us when we were wrong to pushing us when we felt like giving up our mothers did that long before any conference ever could.

DRMCMUNA wishes a Happy Mother's Day to the ones who made all of this possible. No awards, no titles just unconditional love, and that's more than enough

Labor Day stands as a powerful reminder of the dignity, strength and perseverance of workers across the world. It honors all the people who work hard on a daily basis to keep our communities running and growing. This includes farmers, factory workers, teachers and healthcare professionals. Their contribution makes the world a better place. Their hard work, long hours and sacrifices help build the life we live today.

The story of Labor Day began a long time ago when workers were fighting for what was fair in the 19th century. All they demanded was to get fair wages, have working hours and get safe workplace environment. Lots of workers suffered while they were fighting for these rights. But their suffering led to some big changes which eventually made working conditions better in a lot of places. Over the years, all these struggles led to various improvements that made things better for workers in different regions of the world. Despite this progress, millions of workers still endure low pay, job insecurity and unsafe environment even today.

Labor Day is not just a celebration but also a call to action. Therefore, DRMCMUNA encourages people to recognize the value of workers and to stand with those who still continue to face injustice. True respect for labor goes beyond words and it requires collective efforts to ensure fairness, equality and dignity in every workplace. By spreading awareness and calling for a change, we can move closer to a future where every worker gets the respect they deserve.

“Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them.”
-- William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night

On English Language Day, we celebrate the timeless genius of William Shakespeare, the bard whose greatly shaped this language that we speak. Observed as the anniversary of his death on 23 April, this date was chosen by the United Nations to honor the influence of English. The English Language has undoubtedly become the World's lingua franca and as one of the six official UN languages, proficiency in English carries a lot of importance for access to different opportunities.

As we observe the English Language Day, let us celebrate the importance of the language and make it more inclusive. Diplomacy and chatter alike, the language can be an unequal barrier for non-native speakers who are often left out of participation in global dialogue. Yet we must foster a culture of patience and empathy everyone fighting this challenge as a broken sentence or different accent is a sign of immense courage. Whether it's a 60-second rebuttal or a complex spelling bee, this is the language that makes it all possible!

Today marks the 1433rd anniversary of the ascent of King Shashanka on the throne of Bengal, the start of the Bengali Calendar. 14 April or Pohela Boishakh is thus celebrated every year as the Bengali New Year.

Understanding our roots is the first step towards understanding the world. From the Mughal origins coinciding with tax reforms for harvest cycles introduced by Emperor Akbar, eventually Pohela Boishakh became a way for Bengalis to express their cultural pride and heritage and the days turned into more of a celebration than a mere taxpayers day.

Today, the 'Mongol Shobhajatra', which initiated in 1965 as a symbol of Cultural Resistance against the Pakistani rulers, has become a source of pride for Bengalis as it gained UNESCO recognition. We must work to bring those values of peace and progress into our lives by uniting under a common identity.

With this, we wish all of our nation, a Happy Bengali New Year!
