Center for Policy, Advocacy, and Research-CPAR A multi-disciplinary policy-oriented research organization

The Centre for Policy Advocacy and Research (CPAR) is a non-profit and multi-disciplinary research organization that is focused to conduct policy-oriented research on key issues regarding society, culture, economy, and development in Bangladesh. It targets to be the leading institution for advanced study and in-depth research and it will promote inclusive policymaking in Bangladesh through dialogues and interactive sessions. The Centre will arrange training programs on research methodologies and will carry out the evaluation of policy interventions. In this regard, CPAR will be involved in the collection and generation of various kinds of data for carrying out analytical and objective policy-oriented research and it is committed to undertaking and disseminating research findings and knowledge among public policymakers, professionals, and the academic community. A research-driven progressive society promoting engagement and well-being of individuals and communities through inclusive policies. Mission:
To conduct and disseminate transformative and credible social research to formulate and implement inclusive policies in Bangladesh.

Following the ratification, Bangladesh will need to ensure in law and in practice that the minimum age of entry into work or employment in selected sectors, both in the formal and informal economy, is not below 14 years of age.

Ratification of ILO’s Minimum Age Convention recognised as a milestone towards advancing decent work and social justice in Bangladesh. Minimum age of entry into all work set at 14 years of age.
