IELTS Speaking is basically a test of your ability to communicate in English, and answering questions that no one has asked is the best way to show that you don't have good communication skills.

Instead, you should always ask the examiner to repeat, rephrase, explain, etc. words that you don't understand.

If you think you know what the question means but aren't sure, you can just answer, but you should start with a phrase that shows the situation, like "Well, if you mean..., then..."

There are some common IELTS topics in newspapers, like the environment. But they also cover a lot of other things that probably won't be on the test, like crimes and celebrity rumors. Even more important, news stories don't have any of the things that IELTS reading texts do, like paragraphs, topic sentences, headings, etc.

IELTS texts and news articles are also put together in different ways. Most English news articles start with the most recent news and then give more and more background information, which usually means going back in time. IELTS texts, on the other hand, usually start with a "hook" and then move through some subtopics, sometimes in order.

News magazines are a little better than newspapers and online news stories, but they still have sections like news summaries and commentary that aren't good for studying for tests. Texts in newspapers Sunday magazines, popular science magazines like National Geographic, and similar history magazines might be the ones that are most like IELTS Reading.

A lot of students struggle to understand different accents of English. Spelling is also different in British, Australian, and American accents. So, "Do not get confused!"

Getting a good score on the IELTS speaking test is not that hard. Just stay relaxed and continue the conversation with confidence.
And Remember:
• Don't be too formal, it's a conversation - not a job interview.
• Don't show your nervousness, smile as you talk.

Don't stress yourself during the exam week. And specifically on the night before the exam day. Whatever you studied for the past few months will be enough. Just eat a healthy diet during the exam week, and on the day before the exam, eat lite food and some greens and grilled fishes to keep yourself from stressing too much.

Remember, your stress is your biggest enemy! If you don't keep yourself calm, achieving your desirable score will be that much harder.
