Use Advance Words | Five words story- advocate, advantage, adjust, adjacent and adequate 29/01/2023

There was once a young woman named Lily who lived in a small town on the outskirts of a dense forest.
She had recently become an advocate for the local wildlife and dedicated herself to protecting the animals in the adjacent forest.
One day, while on a routine hike to check on the wildlife, she stumbled upon an old mansion that was hidden behind a dense grove of trees.
The mansion was dilapidated and looked as if it had been abandoned for years.
Despite her curiosity, Lily couldn't shake the feeling that something was off about the mansion, so she decided to return to town and tell the authorities about her discovery.
However, when she tried to leave, she found that the path she had taken to get there was now gone, and the trees seemed to have shifted to block her exit.
She was trapped.
As she cautiously approached the mansion, she noticed that the windows were boarded up, and the doors were locked.
Suddenly, she heard a strange noise coming from inside.
It was an eerie, guttural sound that seemed to be getting closer.
She quickly realized that she needed to find a way to get out of there.
Lily tried to retrace her steps and find the path that led her there, but every time she tried, the trees seemed to move and shift, blocking her way.
She was trapped and could feel the fear creeping up on her.
As she explored the mansion, she discovered that it was home to a family of cannibalistic creatures that had been preying on the local wildlife for years.
The creatures were tall, thin and had elongated arms that ended in sharp claws.
Their eyes were black, and their skin was a sickly pale color.
The creatures were now after her, and she could hear their footsteps getting closer.
She quickly realized that the advantage she once had was gone, and she had to find a way to escape.
Lily ran through the halls of the mansion, dodging the creatures and searching for a way out.
She stumbled upon a locked room and quickly realized that the key was hanging from a hook on the adjacent wall.
She grabbed the key, unlocked the door, and ran inside, hoping to find a way to escape.
However, what she found was even more terrifying.
The room was filled with human remains, and there were signs of torture and experiments that had been performed on the victims.
She realized that the creatures had been capturing people and experimenting on them, trying to find ways to improve their abilities.
Lily realized that she needed to adjust her approach to escape.
She realized that she couldn't outrun the creatures, so she decided to hide and wait for an opportunity to escape.
She hid in the shadows and watched as the creatures searched the mansion, hoping to find her.
As she waited, she noticed that the creatures had an unusual weakness.
They were sensitive to light, and if exposed to bright light, they would become disoriented and vulnerable.
She quickly realized that she could use this to her advantage.
Lily gathered all the candles she could find, lit them, and placed them around the room, creating a wall of light.
The creatures were drawn to the light and entered the room, but when they were exposed to the bright light, they became disoriented, and Lily was able to escape.
She finally found her way out of the mansion and stumbled upon a group of people who were searching for her.
She told them about the creatures and the experiments, and together, they destroyed the mansion and saved the remaining victims.
Lily realized that she had been through a traumatic experience, but she was grateful to be alive.
She became an advocate for those who had been taken and experimented on, and spent the rest of her life fighting against those who preyed on the innocent.
She never forgot the horrors she faced in that old mansion and the lessons she learned about the importance of being prepared and adapting to any situation.
From that day on, she made sure to always carry a flashlight and a means of self-defense with her, just in case she ever encountered anything like that again.
She also worked to spread awareness about the dangers of the adjacent forest and the horrors that lurked within.

Use Advance Words | Five word story- adamant accustomed accurate accumulate and abundant 27/01/2023

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Sarah. She was an adamant believer in the power of positive thinking and always looked for the silver lining in every situation. However, she had a peculiar habit that her friends and family found quite amusing.

Sarah was accustomed to talking to inanimate objects, convinced that they had feelings and personalities just like people. She would have entire conversations with her lamp, her fridge, and even her toothbrush.

One day, while walking to school, Sarah stumbled upon a strange object in the street. It was a small, round, metallic device with a button on top. Without hesitation, Sarah picked it up and brought it home with her.

As soon as she got home, Sarah began to accumulate a variety of other random items she found lying around the house. She had an old toy car, a broken watch, and even an empty can of soda.

Sarah's room was now filled to the brim with these various trinkets, and she was convinced that they were all her friends. She would spend hours talking to them, telling them about her day and asking for their opinions on various matters.

One day, Sarah's mother came into her room to check on her. She was shocked at the sight before her eyes. The room was an absolute mess, and Sarah was sitting in the middle of it, talking to an empty can of soda.

"Sarah, what on earth is going on here?" her mother asked, trying to stifle a laugh.

"Mom, I've made some new friends," Sarah said, gesturing to the pile of accumulated junk. "This is Timmy, the toy car, and this is Susan, the broken watch. And this is Fred, the can of soda."

Her mother couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Sarah, they're just objects, they can't be your friends," she said, still chuckling.

"But mom, you don't understand," Sarah replied, an adamant look on her face. "They're all so unique and special in their own ways. And they're always so accurate with their advice. They never steer me wrong."

Her mother shook her head, still chuckling. "Well, I suppose it doesn't hurt to have an abundance of friends, even if they are inanimate." And with that, she left the room, leaving Sarah to continue her conversations with her newfound friends.

From that day on, Sarah's room remained an endless source of amusement for her family, but Sarah couldn't be happier. She had an abundance of friends who always gave her accurate advice and made her life much more interesting.

"Brash" is an adjective used to describe a person or their behavior that is bold, impulsive, and lacking in tact or sensitivity. Someone who is brash might speak or act without thinking about the consequences of their words or actions, and may be perceived as rude or presumptuous. The word can also be used to describe something that is done in a bold or showy way, especially if it is seen as lacking in good taste.

For example:

"He was a brash young man, prone to making impulsive decisions and saying whatever was on his mind without thinking."
"Her brash style of dress and constantly changing hair color made her stand out in the conservative office."

"Brusque" is an adjective used to describe someone who is abrupt or curt in manner, or who speaks in a blunt or unfriendly way. A brusque person might seem rude or impatient, and may not take the time to be polite or considerate when interacting with others. The word can also be used to describe actions or behaviors that are done in a harsh or rough way.

For example:

"The customer service representative was brusque with me when I called, and seemed unwilling to help."
"He was known for his brusque manner and tendency to cut people off mid-sentence if he felt they were wasting his time."

"Brusque" and "brash" are similar in that they both describe behavior that is rude or lacking in tact, but they have slightly different connotations.

"Brusque" typically refers to someone who is abrupt or curt in manner, and who speaks in a blunt or unfriendly way. A brusque person might seem impatient or unwilling to spend time on small talk or niceties, and might come across as rude or unfriendly.

"Brash," on the other hand, typically refers to someone who is bold, impulsive, and lacking in sensitivity or tact. A brash person might speak or act without thinking about the consequences of their words or actions, and may be perceived as presumptuous or arrogant.

Here are some examples of how these words could be used in a sentence:

"The manager was known for his brusque manner, and many of his employees were intimidated by him."
"She was so brash in her speech and actions that she often offended people without realizing it."

To "boast" means to talk with excessive pride or self-satisfaction about one's achievements, possessions, or abilities. It is often seen as a negative trait, as it can come across as arrogant or conceited.

On the other hand, to "boost" means to increase or improve something. It can be used in a variety of contexts, such as boosting the signal strength of a wireless network, boosting the performance of a car engine, or boosting the morale of a team. Boosting is generally seen as a positive thing.

For example:

"I can't stand it when people boast about their wealth or success. It's so arrogant."
"We need to boost our sales if we want to stay in business. Can you come up with any ideas?"

abhor, boisterous, chivalrous, churlish, clandestine, complacent, cumbersome, deliberate, droll, eccentric, fractious, limpid, mawkish, obeisance, ostentatious, panacea, perfunctory, perilous, pervasive, insidious, preclude, predilection, rapacious, relish, satirical, sham, skirt, sluggish, spartan and truculent

As I walked down the bustling street, I couldn't help but feel a sense of disgust at the churlish (rude and unpleasant) behavior of the people around me. Everywhere I looked, there were boisterous (loud and noisy) individuals pushing and shoving, completely oblivious to the discomfort of those around them. I longed for a sense of chivalry (polite and considerate behavior towards women) and consideration, but it seemed to be a thing of the past.

As I made my way through the crowds, I couldn't help but notice a group of people huddled together in a seemingly clandestine (secret) meeting. Intrigued, I approached them cautiously and was surprised to see an eccentric (unconventional) woman at the center of their attention. She was dressed in an ostentatious (showy in an attempt to impress) manner, with bright, flamboyant (showy in a tasteless way) clothing and a plethora (a large number) of glittering jewels.

Despite my initial reservations, I found myself drawn to the woman's charismatic (having a strong charm) personality and her ability to captivate (fascinate and hold the attention of) those around her. As she spoke, I noticed a number of people nodding their heads in agreement, a clear indication of her persuasive (able to convince) powers.

However, as I listened to her speak, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Her words seemed slick (smooth and superficial) and rehearsed, lacking the sincerity (genuine) and authenticity (real and genuine) that I craved. Despite her claims of having the panacea (a solution to all problems) for our current predicament (a difficult situation), I couldn't shake the feeling that she was a sham (something that is not genuine or not what it appears to be).

As the meeting drew to a close, I couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment. It seemed that the world had become complacent (satisfied and unconcerned) with superficial (of little substance or value) solutions and quick fixes, rather than addressing the root causes of our problems. I couldn't help but wonder if we would ever be able to break free from this insidious (subtle and dangerous) cycle of greed (an extreme desire for wealth and possessions) and rapacity (greediness).
