Hadith of the day:

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, The five (daily) prayers, and from one Friday prayer to the next, and from Ramadan to Ramadan are expiation for sins committed in between provided one stays away from the major sins.

This Hadith Is Often Quoted—But Rarely Explained Fully :

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“When a man calls his wife to his bed and she refuses, and he goes to sleep angry, the angels curse her until morning.”
(Bukhari & Muslim)

This hadith is often quoted by men—but rarely explained in its full context.

Islam is not one-sided.
This applies when:

• She has no valid reason
• He has fulfilled her rights
• He has been kind to her
• She is refusing out of spite

But this hadith is misused to justify:

• Demanding intimacy after harsh behavior
• Expecting it when she is exhausted
• Getting angry when she is sick
• Pressuring her when she is emotionally drained.

The Prophet ﷺ also said:
“The best of you are those who are best to their wives.” (Tirmidhi)

Allah says in the Quran:
“They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them.” (Quran 2:187)

This means mutual comfort.
Mutual protection.
Mutual rights.

She has rights too.
The Prophet ﷺ taught that fulfilling your spouse’s rights is an act of charity.
(Bukhari)

You cannot demand your rights while neglecting hers.

Islam teaches mercy, justice, and mutual respect—never one-sided entitlement.

Two powerful lessons from this prayer:

🔹 ​Contentment: Asking Allah to make the Halal enough for us, so we never turn to the Haram.
🔹 ​Freedom: Seeking independence from everyone except the Almighty.

The Honor of the People of Quran
​Hadith (Arabic):

إِنَّ لِلَّهِ أَهْلِينَ مِنَ النَّاسِ ‏.‏ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ هُمْ قَالَ ‏"‏ هُمْ أَهْلُ الْقُرْآنِ أَهْلُ اللَّهِ وَخَاصَّتُهُ ‏"

​English Translation:
"Allah has His own people among mankind." The companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah, who are they?" He replied, "They are the people of the Quran, the people of Allah and His chosen ones."

— (Sunan Ibn Majah: 215)

فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:152)

“So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not be ungrateful

💙 The Great Reward of Quran Recitation
​Hadith (Arabic):

مَنْ قَرَأَ حَرْفًا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ بِهِ حَسَنَةٌ، وَالْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا، لاَ أَقُولُ الم حَرْفٌ، وَلَكِنْ أَلِفٌ حَرْفٌ وَلاَمٌ حَرْفٌ وَمِيمٌ حَرْفٌ

​English Translation:
"Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that 'Alif-Lam-Mim' is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter."
— (Sunan at-Tirmidhi: 2910)
