Common Reading Mistakes Guardians Make at Home And how to fix them.

অনেক guardian ভাবেন,
"ABC পারলেই reading শিখে গেছে"
But actually, reading is much more than memorizing letters.

❌ Common Mistakes Parents Make:

1. Only memorizing, not understanding
অনেক বাচ্চা শুধু মুখস্থ পড়ে, but cannot read new words independently.

2. Forcing children to read too fast
সব বাচ্চার learning speed এক না। চাপ দিলে reading-এর প্রতি ভয় তৈরি হয়।

3. Ignoring phonics sounds
A for Apple জানলেই হবে না,
Children need sound blending like:
c-a-t = cat

4. Comparing with other children
“ও তো already reading পারে”
এই comparison শিশুর confidence কমিয়ে দেয়.

5. Making reading boring
শুধু book খুলে বসালে হবে না।
Use games, stories, songs & fun activities.

6. Correcting every small mistake immediately
বারবার থামালে child nervous হয়ে যায়.
Encourage first, then gently correct.

Why Consonant Blends Are Important?
(bl, cl, st, br...)

অনেক বাচ্চাই ABC বর্ণগুলো খুব ভালোভাবে বলতে পারে ও চিনতে পারে।
কিন্তু যখন reading পড়তে যায়, তখন শব্দে আটকে যায়,
কারণ তারা সঠিকভাবে sound blending করতে পারে না।

Consonant Blend মানে হলো দুই বা তার বেশি consonant sound একসাথে আসে, কিন্তু প্রতিটি sound আলাদাভাবে শোনা যায়।

যেমন :
bl → black, blue
cl → clap, clock
st → star, stop
br → bread, brush
