The day opened with golden sunrise hues over the hills of Lama, marking the beginning of another unforgettable chapter of the retreat. The breathtaking marine drive to Teknaf, laughter-filled chander gari rides, and the endless rhythm of the sea turned every moment into a memory worth holding onto. Beneath painted skies and fading sunsets, the journey carried a kind of magic that words can hardly capture.

As the road led back to Dhaka under the night sky, the hills of Lama and the tides of Cox’s Bazar remained behind not as destinations, but as moments destined to be cherished for years to come.

Day 1: Hills, Hidden Fountains & Pure Magic ✨

The LAMA X COX’S RETREAT kicked off with high energy! We spent the day trekking through challenging trails in Lama and discovering hidden gems in nature. By nightfall, a cultural segment brought seniors and juniors closer than ever—proving this is more than a tour; it’s a family.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐌𝐝. 𝐙𝐮𝐥𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐔𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧 (Honorable Vice Chancellor, BUTEX) as the 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 along with distinguished 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐄𝐡𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐥 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐦 𝐊𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫 (Convenor, ITET Interim Committee), 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐝. 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧(Director of Student Welfare, BUTEX), 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐌𝐝. 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐌𝐃. 𝐒𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐧 (Vice President, Textile division, IEB), and other special guests from our sponsors .

In his address, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐌𝐝. 𝐙𝐮𝐥𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐔𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧 expressed his sincere gratitude to all participating partners and organizations for their active engagement in the Career Fair. He also conveyed his appreciation to the 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 for their dedication and commendable efforts in organizing such a significant platform.The 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 also shared their valuable insights, emphasizing the importance of industry academia collaboration, professional excellence, and ethical responsibility. They encouraged students to embrace adaptability, innovation, and leadership as they prepare to enter the textile and apparel industry.

𝐌𝐝. 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐮𝐥 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐙𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐧 (President, 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛) and 𝐌𝐝. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐏𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 (General Secretary, 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛) expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the entire organizing team of the 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 efforts in making this event a remarkable success during their speach.

With the conclusion of the closing ceremony, the 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐓-𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 came to a successful end, leaving behind a lasting impact on all participants.

𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐓-𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, organized by 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛, marked another remarkable milestone as BUTEX successfully hosted an extensive 𝐨𝐧-𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 program, creating valuable career opportunities for students and fresh graduates.

As part of the fair, prominent industry leaders 𝐇𝐚-𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐦 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩, 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩, and 𝐆𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐎𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡 conducted recruitment activities to identify talented and capable candidates for their organizations. The selection procedures continued throughout the day, followed by the final evaluation phase in the afternoon session.
The recruitment process was completed through several stages:

• Initial 𝐂𝐕 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 and shortlisting of applicants.

• On Campus interview session focused on technical expertise and communication ability.

The successful ex*****on of this initiative highlights the increasing industry demand for BUTEX graduates and showcases the continuous efforts of 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 in creating meaningful career opportunities for students.

This event stands as a testament to how academic excellence, professional preparation, and industry collaboration can pave the way for future BUTEXians to step confidently into their professional journeys.

As part of the 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐓—𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, organized by 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 we had the distinct honor of welcoming 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐧 (𝐀𝐆𝐌, 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎) as a distinguished speaker for “𝐀 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎.”

Drawing upon his extensive professional experience, he delivered a compelling address offering valuable insights into the evolving landscape of the textile and apparel industry along with the increasing expectations placed upon emerging graduates. He underscored the pivotal role that BUTEX graduates can play in fostering innovation, adaptability, and sustainable growth within this vital sector of our national economy.

In addition to his insightful address, he actively engaged the audience through interactive activities and brief games, creating an energetic and participatory environment. The winners of these activities were also presented with small tokens of appreciation, further enhancing the enthusiasm of the session.

We extend our sincere gratitude to 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐧 for his valuable time, insightful contributions and for making the session both impactful and enriching for all participants.

𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 triumphantly orchestrated an electrifying "𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭." Transforming the court into an arena of relentless competition, passion and remarkable sportsmanship.

The tournament featured four competing teams:

Each fixture delivered intense momentum shifts, exhilarating attacks and fiercely contested moments that kept the atmosphere exceptionally engaging throughout the tournament.
After a series of highly competitive encounters, "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐬" emerged as the champions with a commanding performance.

Recognizing the tournament’s most phenomenal and influential performers:

Through initiatives like this 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 continues to foster leadership, unity, resilience and an enduring culture of enthusiasm through sports and extracurricular engagement.

As part of the 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨 presents 𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐓–𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 organised by BUTEX Career Club, a highly engaging 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 titled "𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐈𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲: 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬’ 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧" was organized to bring together distinguished industry leaders, respected faculty members, and enthusiastic students.

The panel included 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐮𝐝𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐡𝐮𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐧 (Head of Organizational Development, Babylon Group), 𝐌𝐝. 𝐙𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐪𝐛𝐚𝐥 (General Manager, Merchandising, Centro), 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐤𝐝𝐞𝐫 (Executive Director, Swiss Chroma Bangladesh Ltd.), and 𝐌𝐝. 𝐍𝐮𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧 (AGM, Merchandising, Fashion Power Group) with the session presided over by 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐪 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐧 (Founder & CEO, Textile Today Innovation Hub).

Panelists shared valuable insights on industry trends, recruitment expectations and the evolving role of textile engineers in adapting to global geopolitical shifts while driving innovation and sustainability. Students had the rare opportunity to interact directly with experts, ask questions, and gain first-hand knowledge about the professional world they are preparing to enter. The session concluded with an interactive 𝐐&𝐀 𝐬𝐞𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, where the panelists addressed thoughtful questions from the audience further enriching the discussion with practical insights and real-world perspectives.

The event was a true reflection of the BUTEX Career Club’s vision to bridge the gap between academia and industry while empowering students with knowledge, exposure, and opportunities for growth.
