LLB (Honours) Batch 56 organized its Degree Completion Ceremony on 7 January 2026, celebrating the successful completion of LLB Journey.

The students of 60 batch of LLB (Hons.) program have visited the District and Sessions Judge Court, Manikganj. The students were warmly received by the Chief Legal Aid Officer, District Legal Aid Office, Manikganj.

Mr. S.K.M Tofayel Hasan, the learned District and Sessions Judge, Manikganj addressed the students in the conference Hall of the Court and underscored the importance of practical learning of the application of law by the law students.

In addition, the Chief Legal Aid Officer of the District Legal Aid Office, Manikganj, Duraksha Jahan Priyanka delivered a lecture on legal aid and how they are solving cases through mediation and even sometimes through field visits.

The students also visited the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Manikganj.

The Department of Law has organized a court visit to be held on 5 January 2026 for the students of 60 Batch of LLB(Hons.) as a part of their practical learning of court procedures for civil and criminal litigations. Mr. S.K.M Tofayel Hasan Rupok sir, the honourable District & Sessions Judge, Manikganj, has agreed to instruct and supervise the students during the court visit.

The Department of Law, Southeast University has successfully organized a day-long workshop on “The Role of a Defense Lawyer, the Practice of Bail and Quashment in Criminal Proceedings.” The workshop was attended by more than 100 enthusiastic students of 59 and 60 batches of LLB (Hons.).

The resource person Mr. Md. Jahirul Isalm Musa, Head of Chamber, the Legal Sanctity tirelessly conducted the whole session, and the workshop was very interactive and the students asked some intriguing questions on the topic.

Professor Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean, School of Law, Southeast University thanked the resource person on behalf of Southeast University and the students of concerned batches for their enthusiasm and passion for learning.

The Department of Law under the School of Law, Southeast University has arranged a workshop for the students of 59 and 60 batches of LLB (Hons.) program on “The Role of a Defesne Lawyer, the Practice of Bail and Quashment in Criminal Proceedings.”
