In Memoriam
It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that the Department of English Studies mourns the untimely passing of one of our beloved students, Ferdina Islam Reeti (Batch 54), who left us on 18 June 2026.

On behalf of the Department of English Studies, we extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. We pray that they find strength and comfort in the memories they shared with her.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.

The Orientation Program of Batch 65 of the Department of English Studies was successfully held on 13 June 2026, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey for our newest students.

The program was graced by the presence of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Akhter Hossain Khan, Registrar Dr. Ahmed Hossain, Dean of the School of Science Prof. Mohammad Ali Naqi, and Proctor Shah Reza M. Fahad Hossain, who delivered inspiring and insightful speeches to the freshers.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by the Chairman of the Department of English Studies, Md. Rezaul Islam, who encouraged the students to embrace learning, creativity, and academic excellence throughout their university life.

The Department warmly welcomes Batch 65 and wishes them success, growth, and memorable experiences in the years ahead.

Creativity met environmental consciousness as the students of DES Batch 56 and Batch 65 secured the 2nd Runner-Up position in the Poster Competition organized on World Environment Day 2026 by the Department of Environmental Science on 08 June 2026.
This achievement is especially meaningful as it brought together the most seniors of the department and its freshers—a beautiful blend of legacy and continuity.

Congratulations to everyone involved for representing the department with creativity, teamwork, and a strong commitment to environmental awareness!!
