যারা কানাডায় স্টুডেন্ট ভিসায় আসতে চান।

কানাডায় সবচেয়ে সহজে ও কম সময়ের মধ্যে আসার একটা অন্যতম মাধ্যম হলো স্টুডেন্ট ভিসা।

স্টুডেন্ট ভিসায় আসলে কী সুবিধা পাবেন?

১. পড়াশোনা চলাকালীন কাজের সুবিধা পাবেন। এখনো বিশ ঘণ্টার বেশি কাজ করতে পারবেন। দরকার হলে দুটো কাজও করতে পারবেন।

২. পার্ট টাইম জব খুঁজে পাওয়া যায়। এখানকার employer রা স্টুডেন্টদের হায়ার করতে চায়, কারণ মিনিমাম ওয়েজে তাদের হায়ার করা যায়।

৩. পড়ালেখা শেষ করার পর তিন বছরের ওয়ার্ক পারমিট পাওয়া যাবে। কিন্তু তিন বছরের ওয়ার্ক পারমিট পাওয়ার জন্য অবশ্যই দুই বা তার বেশি বছর মেয়াদী কোর্স করতে হবে। এক বছরের কোর্স করলে পড়াশোনার পর এক বছরের ওয়ার্ক পারমিট পাওয়া যাবে। এক বছর ওয়ার্ক পারমিটের পর PR (permanant resident) এর আবেদন করতে যে ওয়ার্ক টাইম কাউন্ট করা হয় সেটা মিট হয় না। ফলে নানা রকম সমস্যায় পড়তে হয়। তখন স্টুডেন্ট ভিসা থেকে ভিজিট ভিসায় রূপান্তরিত হয়ে থাকতে হয়। নতুবা নতুন করে কোনো কোর্স করতে হয়। তাই শুরুতে যখন আবেদন করা হয় তখন কমপক্ষে দুই বছরের কোর্সে আবেদন করা ভালো। তিন বা চার বছরের কোর্সে আসলে ভিসা পেতে সুবিধা হয়। তবে দুই বছরের কোর্সেও আসা যায়।
এজেন্সির মাধ্যমে যদি আবেদন করেন তাহলে এই বিষয়টা মাথায় রাখতে হবে।

৪. পড়ালেখা শেষ করার পর প্রফেশনাল পার্মানেন্ট জবও পাওয়া যায়। প্রথম ছয় মাস probationary periods এর পর চাকরি পার্মানেন্ট হয়ে যায় পলিসি অনুযায়ী। এর জন্য PR পাওয়া পর্যন্ত অপেক্ষা করতে হয় না।

৫. হেলথ সুবিধা সহ নানা রকম সুবিধা পাওয়া যায়।

৬. তিন বছর চাকরি করার পর PR এর জন্য আবেদন করা যাবে ও তার তিন বছর পর সিটিজেনশিপের জন্য আবেদন করা যাবে।

৭. বাবা-মাকে sponsor করে আনা যাবে।

স্টুডেন্ট ভিসায় আসার জন্য সবার আগে দরকার মনোবল, শক্তি ও সাহস। ধরুন, সবকিছু অতিক্রম করে কানাডায় চলে আসার পর যদি বিভিন্ন প্রতিবন্ধকতায় হোঁচট খান তাহলে পথ চলা এগুবে না। আন্ডারগ্রাজুয়েট স্টুডেন্টরা কানাডায় চরমভাবে জীবন-যুদ্ধে লড়তে থাকে যা কল্পনার বাইরে। কিন্তু কোনো স্টুডেন্টের প্যারেন্টস যদি দেশ থেকে কোটি কোটি টাকা সন্তানের জন্য পাঠান সেটা ভিন্ন চিত্র হতে পারে। পার্ট টাইম যেসব কাজ করা হয় তা কতোটা পরিশ্রমের বাইরে থেকে অনেকেই বোঝেন না। অন্যদিকে ঘরে ফিরে নিজেকেই সব করতে হবে। মা ভাত বেড়ে বসে থাকবেন না সন্তানের জন্য। যদিও অধিকাংশ স্টুডেন্টরা এসব অত্যন্ত দক্ষভাবে মানিয়ে নিতে পারেন।

তারপর যেটা দরকার একাডেমিক ব্যাকগ্রাউন্ডটা অত্যন্ত ভালো হওয়া দরকার।

তারপর যেসব চেকলিস্ট থাকবে:
1. Valid passport

2. Proof if Acceptance by Designated Learning Institution.

3. Proof of Funds.

4. Passport size photographs

5. immigration Medical Examinatiin (IME)

6. English Language Proficiency Exam score IELTS (score টা 7-8 হলে ভালো হয়। 6-7 হলেও চলবে। টার্গেটটা বেশি রাখতে হবে। 6 এর টার্গেট থাকলে আপনি 5.5 পেতে পারেন। IELTS যত বেশি তত ভালো।)

7. Statement of Purpose.

8. Credit Card (to pay the application fee).
