"I believe in innovation and that the way you get innovation is you fund research and you learn the basic facts."
- Bill Gates

Hello BUBTians.
Do you know about research and innovation?
Do you want to be a researcher?

BUBT Advanced Machine Learning Lab is going to start a new batch for the upcoming researchers. If you want to be a researcher, AML Lab is looking for you.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a key driver of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. As rapid advances in machine learning (ML) increase the scope and scale of AI’s deployment across all aspects of daily life, and as the technology can learn and change on its own, multi stakeholder collaboration is required to optimize accountability, transparency, privacy and impartiality to create trust.

The Advanced Machine Learning (AML) lab seeks to play a critical role in moving BUBT toward research-based education in accordance with worldwide standards. We hope to demonstrate intelligent systems capable of resolving real-world difficulties. We are implementing Deep Learning algorithms, which are a new domain of Machine Learning that are pushing us closer to the ideal goals of modern invention.

On the occasion of opening a new batch, BUBT Advanced Machine Learning(AML) Lab is going to organize a webinar on "Benefits of doing fundamental research: and How?".

Chair:
Dr. M. Firoz Mridha
Associate Professor & Chairman,
Department of Computer Science and Engineering(CSE),
Bangladesh University of Business and Technology(BUBT)

One more big success for the Advanced Machine Learning lab. A research article is accepted in the high indexed Journal, “IEEE Access (Ranked-Q1)” of a research team of Advanced Machine Learning (AML) lab, BUBT. The H-INDEX of the Journal is 127, and the impact factor is 3.745.

Title of the article: A Survey of Speaker Recognition: Fundamental Theories, Recognition Methods, and Opportunities.

Authors: Md. Mohsin Kabir, M. F. Mridha, Jungpil Shin, Israt Jahan, Abu Quwsar Ohi.

Congratulations to all authors.

Humans can identify a speaker by listening to their voice, over the telephone, or on any digital devices. Acquiring this congenital human competency, authentication technologies based on voice biometrics, such as automatic speaker recognition (ASR), have been introduced. An ASR recognizes speakers b...
