Genious (noun) - brilliance / প্রতিভা
A mathematical genious.

Ingenious (adjective) - brilliant / প্রতিভাধর
She was ingenious enough to overcome the limited budget.

Ingenous (adjective) - simple / অকৃত্রিম
Her ingenuous smile won my heart.

Indigenous (adjective) - native / দেশীয়
They were looking for indigenous Australians.

A is faster than B. A and B each walk 24 km. The sum of their speeds is 7km/hr and the sum of times taken by them is 14 hours. Then A's speed is equal to?

Article বিষয়টা অনেক সহজ হলেও মাঝে মাঝে আমাদের confuse করে তোলে। সাধারণত কোন কোন ক্ষেত্রে Article হবে না এই বিষয়টি আমাদের সমস্যায় ফেলে দেয়। আমি এখানে সেই বিষয়েই বলবো।

১। Proper Noun এর পূর্বে Article হয় না।
যেমনঃ Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh.
তবে Proper Noun কে যদি Adjective বা Adjectival Phrase বা clause দ্বারা বিশেষিত করে তাহলে তার পূর্বে the বসে।
যেমনঃ The great Caesar

২। Material Noun , Abstract Noun এর পূর্বে সাধারণত Article হয় না।
যেমনঃ Iron and steel are useful material
Health is wealth.

৩। King বা Queen এর সাথে যদি তাঁদের নাম থাকে কিংবা কোন Title কোন Noun এর apposition হয়ে বসলে তার পূর্বে article হয় না।
যেমনঃ King George V, Queen Victoria.

৪। ঋতু ও উৎসব এর নামের পূর্বে সাধারণত Article হয় না।
যেমনঃ Summer, Winter

Emigration আর immigration শব্দ দুটিকে অনেকে একই মনে করলেও আসলে এরা একটি অপরটির বিপরীত।

Emigration হলো নিজের দেশ ত্যাগ করে অন্যদেশে যাওয়া।

আর immigration হলো অন্য দেশ থেকে এই দেশে আসা।

যারা বাংলাদেশ ছেড়ে অন্য দেশে বসবাসের জন্য যায় বাংলাদেশে তাদের বলা হয় emigrant আর যেদেশে বাস করতে যায় সেখানে তাদের বলা হয় immigrant.

মনে রাখার সহজ কৌশলঃ
emigration শুরু হয় e দিয়ে তাই মনে রাখুন emigration মানে exit করে মানে দেশ ছাড়ে।
আর immigration শুরু i দিয়ে তাই মনে রাখুন immigration মানে in করে মানে দেশে আসে।
