n area of about 1.5 acres at Manda-Dhaka in 1963 under the direct control and management of the Ministry of Education. It was the absence of a truly standard educational institution in the area and the demand of the inhabitants that had led to the idea of founding an institution of very high standards in the newly built town. The construction of the main academic building was completed in early 1975 and the college section was formally inaugurated in the Academic year 2011-2012. The school is presently placed under the control of an autonomous board of governors headed by the secretary, ministry of education. Now all out efforts are being made to transform it into an institution of international status. Although the school commenced with Two shift Morning Shift and Day Shift .The 7:15 a.m. schedule is called Morning Shift and the 12:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. schedule is called Day Shift.
