মনে রাখতে হবে Some, Most, None, All, any ইত্যাদি শব্দের পরে যদি of থাকে তাহলে, of এর পরে যে subject থাকবে সেটা অনুযায়ী verb হবে।

Q: Some of the books ______ stolen from the library.
a) was
b) were
c) has
d) is

এ বাক্যের শুরুতে Some আছে। এবং তারপর of আছে। তাই of এর পরের Subject অনুযায়ী এ বাক্যের verb হবে। of এরপরে আছে Books যেটা Countable noun এবং Book এর সাথে S যুক্ত আছে বলে এটি plural, তাই উত্তর were হবে।

answer হবে b) were.
