The 8th of March marks International Women’s day, symbolizing and making people aware of the ongoing struggle for equal rights for women. The day is celebrated globally for cherishing and recognizing the contributions of women in different aspects of life including social, economic, familial, cultural, political spheres and so much more. Despite taking on different roles simultaneously just like men, women are still deprived of equal respect, dignity, appreciation, and equity in their life.

In 2023, we are reflecting on how important it is to . Equality is good, but equity is even better. Given the different circumstances of each and every individual, equality does not always indicate equity. Hence, it is important for everyone to be able to recognize where equity can be enabled, and seek inclusivity.

The Resource Unit wishes each and every woman they work with, have come to know, and have simply crossed paths with a Happy Women’s Day. We hope you continue to seek equality and equity in society and be always surrounded by like-minded people who also strive to enable that world for you!
