About Myself: I’m Sadia Islam Promi, teaching for the past 11+ years at my own place near Dhanmondi, Dhaka. I completed my BBA and MBA from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) with 1st class 1st in both my BBA and MBA, Alhamdulillah.

💭How much do O and A-Level grades really matter?🤔

‼ Here's the revised order of the public university admission requirements for English Medium (O-Level & A-Level) students:

📌 **BUP:** The minimum requirement is 5 O-levels & 2 A-levels with a total GPA of 26.5, excluding grades lower than D from GPA calculation.

📌**DU-IBA:** The minimum requirement is 5 O-levels & 2 A-levels, with minimum grades of 2A, 3B & 2C in these 7 subjects. Gap year after A-levels is not accepted.

📌 **BUET:** To qualify, you need a minimum of 5 B grades in O-levels (including math, physics, chem & English), and 2 A grades and 1 B grade in A-levels (with math, physics & chem). A gap year after A-levels is not accepted, and the difference between O-levels and A-levels must not exceed 3 years. Only the top 400 EM applicants will proceed to the preliminary MCQ test.

📌**IUT:** For admission, you require at least 5 B grades in O-levels and 3 A grades in A-levels, with the same subjects as BUET.

📌**CUET/KUET/RUET:** The prerequisite here is a minimum of 5 A grades in O-levels (including math, physics, chem & English), and 3 A grades in A-levels (with math, physics & chem). If you're applying to the BME department, a B grade in bio is compulsory in A-levels.

📌 **DU A Unit (Science):** The minimum requirement involves 5 O-levels & 2 A-levels, with grades of 2A, 3B & 2C in these 7 subjects (D or lower grades not accepted). No gap year after A-levels is allowed, and the maximum time difference between O-levels and A-levels is 5 years.

📌 **DU C Unit (Faculty of Business Studies):** To qualify, you must have 5 o-level subjects & 2 A-level subjects, with minimum grades of 4B & 3C in these 7 subjects. Additionally, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00 in O-levels and A-levels separately. One subject from business/accounting/econ/math in A-levels is mandatory. A gap year after A-levels is not accepted.

📌 **DU B Unit (Arts, Social Science & Law):** The minimum requirements include 5 o-level subjects & 2 A-level subjects, with grades of 4B & 3C in these 7 subjects. No grade of 'D' or lower is permissible in these subjects. Taking a gap year after A-levels is not allowed, and the maximum time difference between O-levels and A-levels is 5 years.

Please remember that these are the basic entry requirements for the admission test. Additional grade or subject prerequisites may apply for specific degrees. For more comprehensive details, refer to the previous year's undergraduate admission prospectus of your chosen university.

By the grace of Almighty Allah, I have been appointed as a lecturer for Business Statistics in National Institute of Design (NID), starting from tomorrow, In Shaa Allah.

I have always dreamt of being a University Lecturer since I was a little kid. I'm still a kid, don't worry, hehe.

My goal has always been to ensure full satisfaction of my students from my classes, both in terms of fun and learning, for the past 11 years. Keep me in your prayers, everyone!

By the grace of Almighty Allah, yesterday we celebrated 10 years of my teaching journey. (July 1, 2012- July 1, 2022).

10 years of teaching experience at 21 years old?

অনেকেই অবাক হয়ে যায় যখন আমি তাদেরকে জানাই যে আমার শিক্ষকতার অভিজ্ঞতা 10 বছর সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে এজন্যই আমি আজকে আপনাদের সাথে একটা ছোট গল্প শেয়ার করতে চাই। ২০১২ সালের জুলাই মাসে আমার আম্মু ও আমার বড় ভাই একটা নতুন পদক্ষেপ নেয় আমাদের নিজস্ব কোচিং সেন্টার শুরু করার। সে সময়ে আমার ভাই ইউনিভার্সিটি তে পড়তো এবং আমি মাত্র ক্লাস সেভেন এ ছিলাম ও আমাদের সাথে আমার স্কুল মাস্টারমাইন্ড এর একজন সিনিয়র শিক্ষিকাও ছিলেন। আলহামদুলিল্লাহ আমরা প্রথম মাসেই ৩০ জন ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের নিয়ে যাত্রা শুরু করেছিলাম । আমার ভাই তখন ক্লাস সেভেন এর এই ব্যাচটি শুরু করেছিল এবং আমি ক্লাস সিক্সের স্টুডেন্টদেরকে পড়াতাম।

আলহামদুলিল্লাহ সেই থেকে শুরু করে আজ অব্দি আমি Edexcel O levels and A levels ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের পড়িয়ে আসছি । ব্যস্ততার কারণে আমার ভাই সেটা continue করতে না পারায় আমরা আলাদা কোচিং সেন্টারটা বাদ দিয়ে আমার বাসায় চেয়ার, টেবিল এবং হোয়াইটবোর্ড কিনে নিজ ঘরে ক্লাস নেই।

আমি যখন এক্কেবারেই ছোট নার্সারিতে পড়ি তখন আমার স্কুলের টিচাররা যখন জিজ্ঞেস করছিল সবাইকে যে- তোমরা বড় হয়ে কি হতে চাও? সবাই বলছিল ডাক্তার বা ইঞ্জিনিয়ার। কিন্তু আমি তখন বলেছি যে আমি এই স্কুলের প্রিন্সিপাল হব। সবসময় বাসায় এসে আমার সামনে আমার পুতুল গুলোকে রেখে পেছনে বোর্ড রেখে টিচারদের মতো ভঙ্গি করে পড়াতে খুব ভালো লাগতো এবং আমার টিচিং স্টাইল আমি অনুকরণ করতাম আমার আম্মুকে কারণ তিনি আমাকে ও আমার বড় ভাইকে ক্লাস এইট পর্যন্ত সব বিষয়ে পড়িয়েছিলেন।

এই যাত্রা শুরু করার সময় আমি অনেক বিপত্তির মোকাবেলা করেছি যেমন অনেকেই আমাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করতো- "এত ছোট মেয়ের কাছে আমি কেন আমার ছেলে মেয়েদেরকে পড়াবো? ও কিভাবে বুঝাতে পারবে? " আমি সব সময় আমি যদি আমার নিজ বিষয়ে confident ছিলাম এবং বলতাম যে যদি কেউ চায় আমার কাছে ফ্রী ক্লাস করতে পারে দেখার জন্য যে অন্য কোন সিনিয়র শিক্ষকদের মত আমি কি বোঝাতে সক্ষম হই নাকি না । আমার এই দশ বছরে অনেকজন ছাত্র-ছাত্রী আমি পেয়েছি যারা আমার থেকেও বয়সে বড় কিন্তু আমি নিজের প্রতি নিজের আত্মবিশ্বাস কম হতে দেইনি । বলেছি- Your friend will always be the best friend. এর মানে হচ্ছে তোমার বন্ধুর কাছে গেলেই কিন্তু তোমার সব পড়া আরও সহজভাবে বোঝা সম্ভব কিন্তু যদি একজন রাগী টিচার তোমার সামনে বসে থাকে তাকে কিন্তু জিজ্ঞেস করতে সাধারণত তুমি লজ্জা পাবে এজন্যই আমি তাদের বন্ধু হয়েছি এবং কখনোই তাদেরকে আমাকে মিস বা ম্যাডাম বলতে মানা করেছি আমি ছিলাম তাদের প্রমি আপু।

আমি যখন আমার নিজের ও লেভেল পরীক্ষা দেই তা ঠিক এক সপ্তাহ আগে আমি তাদের কাছ থেকে ছুটি নিয়েছি এবং ঠিক একইভাবে আমার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সব পরীক্ষার দিনগুলো বাদে আমি কোনদিনই তাদের পড়ানো বাদ দেইনি আমার মাথায় সবসময় এটাই ছিল যে অবশ্যই আমি আমার নিজের পড়া শেষ করব কিন্তু এর পাশাপাশি তাদের প্রতিও আমার অনেক দায়িত্ব-কর্তব্য আছে। আমি আজ আমার নিজের CVতে অভিজ্ঞতার জায়গায় লিখতে পারছি - 10 years of teaching experience এবং তার সবটুকু কৃতিত্বই আমি দিব আমার আম্মুকে । তার অনুপ্রেরণা, পরিশ্রম ও বিশ্বাস আমার প্রতি যদি না থাকতো তাহলে আমি কখনোই এই মনের ইচ্ছাটাকে পূরণ করতে পারতাম না। তাকে আমি কিভাবে ধন্যবাদ দিব সেই ভাষা আমার জানা নেই।

এই দশ বছরে আমি অনেক ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের সাথে পরিচিত হয়েছি এবং গত চার বছরে আমার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে অনেক হেল্পফুল ফ্রেন্ডসদেরকে পেয়েছি যারা আমাকে অনেক সাপোর্ট করেছে । তাদের প্রতি আমি অনেক কৃতজ্ঞ । গতকালের ছোট অনুষ্ঠানে অনেকেই আসতে পারিনি । আমার অনেক স্টুডেন্টরাই বিদেশে তাদের উচ্চশিক্ষা লাভ করার জন্য সবাই তাদের জন্য দোয়া করবেন।

আমার আম্মু আব্বু সবসময় একটা কথাই বলতো এবং তা হচ্ছে যে শুধু অন্যদেরকে পড়ালেই হবে না কিন্তু নিজের রেজাল্ট সবার আগে এবং তা মাথায় রেখেই আমি আমার university তে প্রথম স্থান অধিকার করেছি (valedictorian reward).

আমার বয়স 21। আমি খুবই ক্ষুদ্র একজন মানুষ ।
আমার যাত্রা এখনো অনেক অনেক দূর। এখনো অব্দি আমি আমার দেশের মানুষদের জন্য কিছু করতে পারিনি। আমার নিজের দেশের জন্য অনেক কিছু স্বপ্ন আছে যাতে আমি আমার এবং আমার আম্মুর সব স্বপ্ন পূরণ করতে পারি তার জন্য আপনারা সবাই দোয়া করবেন।
