১৪ ডিসেম্বর—শহীদ বুদ্ধিজীবী দিবস।
১৯৭১ সালের মুক্তিযুদ্ধের বিজয়ের প্রাক্কালে হানাদার বাহিনী ও তাদের দোসররা পরিকল্পিতভাবে এ দেশের শ্রেষ্ঠ বুদ্ধিজীবীদের হত্যা করে। উদ্দেশ্য ছিল স্বাধীন বাংলাদেশের মেধা ও নেতৃত্বকে ধ্বংস করা।
কিন্তু তাদের সেই ষড়যন্ত্র ব্যর্থ হয়েছে। শহীদ বুদ্ধিজীবীদের আত্মত্যাগেই আমরা পেয়েছি স্বাধীনতা ও আলোকিত পথচলা।
গভীর শ্রদ্ধায় তাদের স্মরণ করছি।
