𝘼𝘾𝙄 𝘽𝙐𝙀𝙏 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝘽𝙐𝙀𝙏 𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙙 4𝙩𝙝 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙙 1𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙖𝙙 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝘾𝙄 𝙁𝙍𝙋 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – 𝙎𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 2026, 𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 American Concrete Institute (ACI) 𝙞𝙣 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙩, 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙜𝙤.

Facing strong international competition, the team demonstrated exceptional commitment, ingenuity, and a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals, earning recognition for both the department and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Their project integrated fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement to develop durable, corrosion-resistant structural solutions. By applying core concepts of mechanics and concrete technology, they designed an efficient system that minimizes reinforcement costs without compromising performance. Additionally, the use of locally sourced recyclable materials contributed to reducing nearly one-third of the concrete self-weight.

Despite disruptions that prevented student members from attending the event in person, the work was represented on-site by faculty advisor 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀.𝐅.𝐌. 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐧, who was present in Rosemont, Chicago alongside 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐭, ensuring effective representation and support throughout the competition.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Gestra Engineering, Inc. for their generous sponsorship and unwavering support in enabling student participation and travel to Rosemont, Chicago; and to Shah Cement and Baral Chemical Company Ltd. for providing free samples and valuable material support.

The team’s achievement is the result of months of dedicated laboratory work, testing, and continuous refinement of their design. This accomplishment reflects the spirit of innovation and academic excellence fostered at 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙝 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 (𝘽𝙐𝙀𝙏), motivating aspiring engineering students to pursue creativity, research, and impactful solutions.

✨ 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐁𝐔𝐄𝐓 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭!

𝐀𝐂𝐈 𝐁𝐔𝐄𝐓 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 arranged a warm and memorable barbecue evening in honor of its 𝟐𝟎 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡, bidding them farewell as they prepare to graduate and step into a new chapter of their lives. The evening was filled with laughter, reflection, and heartfelt moments that truly captured the spirit of the chapter.

The event was graced by the presence of our esteemed 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐤 𝐌𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐲, along with 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐝. Executive members from the junior batches were also present, making the gathering even more lively and meaningful.

A special highlight of the evening was when the outgoing executive members from the 20 Batch shared their heartfelt experiences. They reflected on their journey within ACI BUET Student Chapter—the challenges they overcame, the events they led, the friendships they built, and the memories they will cherish for a lifetime. Their words were filled with gratitude and emotion, as they expressed how deeply they will miss being a part of this family.

With all executive members in attendance, the event stood as a beautiful testament to the unity, mentorship, and strong bond within the chapter. It was not just a farewell, but a celebration of a remarkable journey and the legacy the 20 Batch leaves behind.
