"The End of Our School Life"

We keep repeating the line, “It’s the end of our school life,” so many times that we’re starting to overlook the fact that—it truly is the end.
But that’s how life works: every “hi” eventually comes with a “goodbye.” Nothing lasts forever. Not even us.

So, now the 164 of us will go our separate ways—
into 164 different families,
leading 164 different kinds of lives,
visiting 164 different places,
working different jobs,
and living in different corners of the country or even the world.

And somewhere along the way, the introverts will become the loudest voices in the room.
The impatient ones will learn patience.
That one cheerful girl might face her darkest days.
The mature one might struggle to hold it all together like she used to.
And some of us—some of us might never change.

That’s just how life goes.

Every phase of life brings its own share of grief, happiness, and insecurity.
So, we shouldn’t complain too much about our teenage years, because one day, as we take a step forward, we’ll realize that today’s heavy school bag was actually the lightest burden we ever carried.

As time passes, everything will change.
Every day will be a mix of difficulty, laughter, relaxation, struggle, and peace.
But one thing will always remain unchanged:
Once upon a time, 60 of us sat together in one classroom.

We laughed. We cried.
We got punished, we got bullied.
But studying? That we rarely did.

We were just a bunch of girls shouting “Present, Sir!” when our names were called,
A family who tolerated each other for five hours a day,
Seeing the same faces, the same teachers, hearing the same stories, and sharing the same smiles.

And we won’t be leaving empty-handed.
We’ll take with us the laughs,
The polaroids we clicked,
The victories, the loser versions of ourselves,
The grief of losing friends,
And the joy of finding comfort in someone.

Years from now, when we look back at our youth,
We’ll take deep sighs and smile as we scroll through old photos and videos.
Our children might point to a particular picture and ask,
“Who are they?”
And that’s when we’ll tell them:

"There was once a school named NFS where a group of girls dared to dream together. They saved each other in every way a person could be saved."

But now, those 60 students no longer sit together in that classroom.
The class that once prayed for the final bell to ring, to give those tired fans and lights a break,
Now silently longs for the chaos we once brought.
But it won’t miss us for long.

Because there are new faces now. New stories. New noise.

And by then—

“The lights are on, but nobody is home.”
