We are deeply saddened by the tragic and untimely passing of our bright student and talented karateka, Yaser Ahmed Xeem.

Yaser was a proud member of United Karate Club Bangladesh Cox's Bazar, and a talented student of BKSP. He recently won a Silver Medal at the South Asian Karate Cup Championship, adding another achievement to his remarkable journey.

His sudden passing after a tragic electric shock at the Savar, Dhaka campus has left us heartbroken. He was a true champion, and he will remain a champion wherever he is.

May Almighty Allah grant him eternal peace and give his family, friends, teachers, and fellow athletes the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

You will always be remembered. You will always be our champion.

Monisha Shankar Paul has once again made Bangladesh proud by winning the Gold Medal in the Female Under-12 Kata category at the South Asian Karate Championship 2026, held at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium, Mirpur-10, Dhaka.

Displaying exceptional skill, discipline, and determination, Monisha overcame some of South Asia's strongest competitors, including athletes from India and Nepal, to stand at the top of the podium.

For Monisha, every tatami is her stage. She steps onto the mat with one belief—the mat belongs to her until the final bow. Her fighting spirit, confidence, and dedication continue to inspire everyone who watches her perform.

Having proudly carried the Bangladesh flag on international soil before, she is once again ready to raise her motherland's flag high, proving that her journey has only just begun.

Our Shihan Udday Shankar Paul Mitu (5th Dan, BKF) has successfully earned the WKF & AKF International Karate Coach License, achieving a milestone that brings international recognition to Cox's Bazar and Bangladesh.

With this accomplishment, he becomes the first internationally licensed karate coach from Cox's Bazar, setting a new benchmark for the region's martial arts community. His success is more than a personal achievement—it is a source of pride for every karate practitioner and sports enthusiast in the district.

May this achievement inspire many more karateka to pursue international qualifications and continue carrying the name of Cox's Bazar onto the global stage.

Behind this international recognition lies 45 years of unwavering dedication, disciplined training, and a lifelong passion for karate. With immense pride, we congratulate Monisha Shankar Paul on earning the honor of representing Bangladesh at the 2nd South Asian Under-14 Karate Championship 2026, where she will compete against the finest young karatekas from Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives.

Monisha has already proven her excellence on the international stage. In 2024, she brought glory to Bangladesh by winning the Gold Medal in the Kata event at the 8th International Indian Challengers Cup, held at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium, Kolkata, India. She continued her remarkable journey in July 2025, securing the Bronze Medal in the Under-10/12 Kata category at the South Asian International Karate Championship in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Now, she steps onto an even bigger stage with the hopes and prayers of an entire nation behind her. We believe she will once again raise the Bangladesh flag with pride, determination, and honor.
