“Norway is strongly committed to foster peace and harmony in Rohingya camps and host communities in Cox’s Bazar” ▬ said by Sidsel Bleken during the Agreement signing ceremony on 16 May at UNDP Bangladesh. Norwegian Embassy will contribute 6.5 million Norwegian Kroner (about 6.3 Crores Taka) to UNDP Bangladesh to support a Project on ‘Mapping Social Tensions– Rohingya Crisis’.

The Project will undertake research to map and understand drivers of social tensions in Rohingya camps and in host communities in Cox’s Bazar district affected by the Rohingya crisis as well as assess potential ramifications. The research findings will better inform and support stakeholders for strengthening their partnership programs with the Government of Bangladesh.
