আজ, ১৪ এপ্রিল ২০২৬ ইং দুপুরে আমাদের একজন সহপাঠী মোফাজ্জেল হোসেন বিজয় (আইডি: ২২০৩১৪০) বিনা উস্কানিতে চুয়েট মেইন গেটের সামনে ওয়াসিফ রাশেদ (আইডি: ১৫০২১১৮) কর্তৃক শারীরিক ও মানসিক হেনস্থার শিকার হয় এবং সে (ওয়াসিফ রাশেদ) হুমকিপূর্বক ভুক্তভোগীর ছবি তোলে। উক্ত ব্যক্তি এবং তার সাথে সংশ্লিষ্টদের এহেন কার্যকলাপে আমরা যারপরনাই ক্ষুব্ধ ও উদ্বিগ্ন। এমন ঘটনায় আমরা আমাদের সহপাঠী এবং সর্বোপরি যন্ত্রকৌশল ২২ এর নিরাপত্তা নিয়ে উদ্বিগ্নতা প্রকাশ করছি।

একাডেমিক কাউন্সিলের সিদ্ধান্তক্রমে ক্যাম্পাসভিত্তিক সকল ছাত্র-শিক্ষক এবং কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীদের যেকোনো প্রকার রাজনৈতিক সংশ্লিষ্টতার ব্যাপারে নিষেধ। তবুও ইতোপূর্বে ক্যাম্পাসে অস্থিতিশীলতা সৃষ্টির জন্য একই ব্যক্তিদের নামে বিস্তর অভিযোগ পাওয়া সত্ত্বেও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রশাসন তাদের বিরুদ্ধে উল্লেখযোগ্য কোনো পদক্ষেপ নিয়ে সাধারণ শিক্ষার্থীদের আশ্বস্ত করতে ব্যর্থ হয়েছে।

আমরা যন্ত্রকৌশল ২২ আবর্ত এ ঘটনার তীব্র নিন্দা ও প্রতিবাদ জানাচ্ছি। ক্যাম্পাসে যেকোনো প্রকার অস্থিতিশীলতা সৃষ্টিকারী দুর্বৃত্তদের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের কঠোর অবস্থান ব্যক্ত করছি। আশা করি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রশাসন তাদের বিরুদ্ধে দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তি নিশ্চিত করবে। অন্যথায় নিরাপত্তজনিত কারণে আমাদের পক্ষে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের দৈনন্দিন কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহণ বাধাগ্রস্থ হতে পারে।

আমরা চুয়েটের সকল শিক্ষার্থী ক্যাম্পাসভিত্তিক সকল ধরণের রাজনীতির বিরুদ্ধে অবস্থান ব্যক্ত করছি।

আমরা আশা করছি সকল ব্যাচ এবং ক্যাম্পাসের সকল দায়িত্বশীল পক্ষ উক্ত ঘটনার যথোপযোক্ত প্রতিকারের ব্যাপারে আমাদের সাথে একাত্মতা পোষণ করবে।
