On the occasion of the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare, the English literary Club of Southern University Bangladesh organized an event titled “William Shakespeare: His Words, Wit & Wonder.”

The event, held at the university gallery, featured speeches by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sharif Ashrafuzzaman, Registrar A F M Moddasser Ali, Dean Professor Chowdhury Mohammad Ali, and Head of the Department Arman Hossain as Chief Guest and Special Guests.

Students of the department presented Shakespeare’s timeless poems, dramas, and literary works with great artistic excellence.

On 23 April 2026, the 42nd Academic Council Meeting of Southern University Bangladesh was held in the university’s conference room.

The meeting was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Sharif Ashrafuzzaman and presented by the Member Secretary, Registrar A F M Moddasser Ali.

All members of the Academic Council were present. Honorable members of the Board of Trustees were also in attendance, including the Chairman of Clifton Group, Professor M. Kamal Uddin and the Member Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Professor Sarwar Jahan.

EEE students Testimony

I am pleased to share my experience as a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Southern University Bangladesh. My academic journey at Southern University provided me with a strong foundation in engineering principles, practical problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of modern electrical systems.

The curriculum was well-structured and aligned with international engineering standards, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on laboratory work and real-world applications. The faculty members were supportive, knowledgeable, and committed to helping students develop both technical competence and professional confidence.

A significant milestone in my career was obtaining a positive skills assessment from Engineers Australia based on my bachelor’s degree from Southern University Bangladesh. This recognition reflects the quality and standard of education provided by the university, as it meets the criteria required for professional engineering qualifications in Australia.

Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Wollongong, Australia. The strong academic foundation I gained during my undergraduate studies has been instrumental in helping me adapt to advanced coursework and research at an international level.

I highly recommend Southern University Bangladesh to prospective students seeking a comprehensive and internationally recognized engineering education. The program not only prepares students for professional success but also opens doors to global opportunities.
