International Youth Day at AUW Laboratory School

AUW Laboratory School celebrated International Youth Day with an engaging session focused on youth voice, leadership, and the power of young people to create positive change in their communities.

Students reflected on key ideas, including the importance of having a voice in school decisions, using social media responsibly to promote positive change, and recognizing that one young person can make a meaningful difference.

As part of the session, students worked in groups to address two real-world challenges: how to make the school more environmentally friendly and how to create a kinder, more inclusive school. Each group developed practical solutions and presented their ideas, demonstrating creativity, collaboration, and thoughtful problem-solving.

The celebration highlighted an important message: when young people are encouraged to speak, participate, and take initiative, they become active contributors to positive change.

An inspiring session on Energy, Materials & Artificial Intelligence was held at AUW Laboratory School with Shafayet Yaseen, Graduate Researcher, Department of Physics, University of Rome Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy; Research Intern, Department of Gaseous Electronics, Jozef Stefan Institute, Slovenia; and Principal Investigator, ISCRA Grant, Supercomputer LEONARDO, Italy.

Our Summer Innovation Lab is being led by the M.A. Education students of Asian University for Women, who are creating an engaging learning experience through writing, Artificial Intelligence, multicultural exploration, and other creative activities.
