বাংলাদেশ প্রেস ফটো কনটেষ্ট সেই সকল সাহসী নারী ও পুরুষের কীর্তিগাঁথাকে উদপযাপন করে যারা সম্মুখ সারির যোদ্ধা হয়ে প্রতিদিন সংবাদ সংগ্রহ করেন। দেশের শীর্ষস্থানীয় পেশাদার আলোকচিত্রী, শিল্পী এবং সম্পাদক এর সমন্বয়ে গঠিত বিচারকমণ্ডলী দ্বারা গত এক বছরে আলোকচিত্র সাংবাদিকতা এবং তথ্যমূলক আলোকচিত্রের ক্ষেত্রে শ্রেষ্ঠ কাজগুলো নির্ধারণের মাধ্যমে এই স্বীকৃতি আলোকচিত্রীদের কাজের শ্রেষ্ঠতাকে জনসম্মুখে তুলে ধরে।
