Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University - CVASU

Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day was observed at CVASU today in a befitting manner.

CVASU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman has paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the 1952 Language Movement by placing a wreath at the Shaheed Minar on the university campus at 8:15am. Teachers, officers, students and employees were present during this time.

Wreaths were also placed at the Shaheed Minar on behalf of different faculties, residential halls, teachers’ association, officers’ association, karmachari union, various cultural and student organisations of the university, marking the Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day.

Other events of the day included hoisting the national flag at half-mast, wearing the black badge and special prayers seeking divine blessings for the eternal peace of the language martyrs.
