Registration for Bangladesh Olympiad in Informatics (BdOI) 2024 is open!

Preliminary Round: 10th February 2024
Deadline for Registration: 3rd February 2024

This year, the preliminary round will be hosted online.

BdOI follows IOI Rules. Only pre-university students are eligible.

To be eligible, you must be:

a) Enrolled in a school at a level not higher than secondary education for the majority of the period from 1 September to 31 December 2023.

b) You must not be older than twenty years on the 1st of July 2024.

You can check the rules and regulations at: https://ioinformatics.org/page/regulations/9. Please do not register if you are ineligible. If you are in doubt, please send an email to Prof. M. Important Announcement:

তোমরা সবাই জানো, সরকারের সিদ্ধান্ত অনুসারে আগামী ২ সপ্তাহ সকল শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ ঘোষণা করা হয়। এমন পরিস্থিতিতে আমরা এই সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি, আমাদের "CJC CP Workshop 2022" এর পরবর্তী ক্লাস সমূহ weekly না নিয়ে daily নেয়া হবে। অর্থাৎ, আগামী ২ সপ্তাহ বন্ধের দিন গুলিতে আশা করি আমাদের ক্লাস প্রতিদিন অনলাইনে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। এতে করে আমরা চেষ্টা করব সকল টপিক এই টানা ক্লাস গুলোতেই কভার করতে। আগামীকাল রবিবার থেকে প্রতিদিন রাত ৮.৩০ থেকে Workshop এর টানা ক্লাস শুরু হবে। এই টানা ক্লাস গুলোতে উপস্থিতি থাকাটা আবশ্যিক যদি তুমি এই ওয়ার্কশপ থেকে কোন আশানুরূপ ফলাফল পেতে চাও। আমাদের সাথে তোমাদের প্রোগ্রামিং যাত্রায় আগামী ক্লাস গুলো অনেক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভুমিকা পালন করবে। তাই কোনভাবেই ক্লাস গুলো মিস দেয়া যাবেনা। যারা এখনও পর্যন্ত কোন ক্লাস করোনি তাদের কেও এই ওয়ার্কশপে আমন্ত্রণ রইলো।

We are actively looking for some Volunteer Programming Trainers. You will get preference if you have ICPC/IOI (online/onsite national and international contests) Profiles.

For this post you have to be passionate about:
1. Teaching school kids
2. Programming Problem Solving
3. Mindset for helping other

Responsibilities:
1. Teaching Programming Language (C/C++)
2. Teaching Basic Problem Solving Techniques
3. Teaching Basic Algorithms and Data Structures
4. Basic Mathematics which cover the syllabus of NCTB class 3-12 mathematics

Requirements:
1. You are a college or university students
2. You have some free time to contribute (Monthly 3-4 hrs)
3. You are good at C or C++ programming language
4. You are good at high school mathematics
5. You know basic algorithms i.e: search, sort, BS, BFS, DFS, etc
6. You are good at Data Structure i.e Arrays, List, Linked List, Map, etc.

This is the first stage of selection for the Bangladesh IOI Team to be represented at IOI 2022, Indonesia. Contestants performing well in the preliminary will be invited to the national contest.

Please register to participate in the preliminary rounds of BdOI 2022. The preliminary rounds will be held on 01 January 2022. I am super excited to invite you to participate in Codeforces Round #735 (Div. 2) which will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 08:35 pm.

This is the second Bangladeshi Codeforces Round. FYI the first one took place 7 years ago(Round #244)!

You will be given 5 problems and 2 hours to solve them. All the problems are authored and prepared by me.

Thanks to Alex Danilyuk(Um_nik), Ashiqul Islam(_Ash__), Pritom Kundu(Anachor), Arghya Pal(Arg_007), Jubayer Nirjhor(Alpha_Q), DAleksa, Fahim Steinum(steinum), Tasdid Nahyan(Tasdid), Seemanta Bhattacharjee(border), Moudud Khan Shahriar(mk_Shahriar), Tanvir Rahman Tareq(t17), Anik Sarker(imAnik), Alfeh Sani(Alfeh), Aritra Mazumder(Aritra741), Sourav Chowdhury(FrozenBlood), Sajid Zakaria(SajidZakaria), Ovishek Paul(ovis96), Shantu Das(_________) and SH Rony(Raiden) for testing the round.

The statements are super short and I have tried to make the pretests strong.

I would like to dedicate this contest to the fallen king, my father, who died two months ago. May he and all the departed good souls rest in peace.

The preparation process has started 8 months ago, so, as you may already guess, this contest is really special to me. The contest was supposed to happen much earlier (4-5 months ago) but got delayed because of my final exams, ICPC, my fathers' death and other adverse scenarios.

I have already prepared 2 contests on CodeChef, but have always wanted to prepare one on CodeForces as I have spent most of my varsity life on this site. Hopefully, I will prepare another one after this ICPC.

I hope you guys will participate and explore the beauty of the problems.
