𝗘𝗟𝗧 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
The English Language and Literary Society (Male) successfully organized an ELT Workshop. This workshop featured two insightful sessions delivered by distinguished faculty members of the Department of English Language and Literature.
Today's ELT workshop started with the recitation of the Qur'an. Dr. Nazmul Huda, Chairman of the Department of English Language and Literature, he delivered the inaugural speech. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kaosar Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, attended as the Special Guest, He gave a guiding speech, especially highlighting the importance of both language and literature. The workshop was graced by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hasmat Ali, Pro Vice-Chancellor of IIUC, as the Chief Guest. He emphasizes English communication skills and language in his space. Higher levels of English proficiency acquisition are given particular attention.
The first session was conducted by Md. Morshedul Alam, Associate Professor. His presentation focused on a dual theme tailored for the English Language Teaching (ELT) context, bridging the practical ex*****on of professional communication with foundational ESL learning theory. Through his discussion, participants gained valuable insights into effective communication practices and the theoretical foundations that support language learning.
The second session was delivered by Md. Eftekhar Uddin, Associate Professor. On the topic, "ELT Beyond the Classroom: A Road Map to Global Career." He shared valuable perspectives on local and remote employment opportunities, international teaching pathways, and the diverse applications of an English degree in today's global economy. His session highlighted how ELT skills can create opportunities across various professional sectors beyond traditional academic settings.
Together, the sessions emphasized the growing importance of ELT in academic development, research, professional communication, and career advancement in a rapidly evolving global landscape.

Inauguration Celebration of IIUC CSE FEST 2026 🎊
On 13th June , 2026 the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) formally inaugurated IIUC CSE FEST 2026 through a vibrant and well-organised celebration on campus. The festival is organised by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, presented by the IIUC Computer Club and in association with the IIUC Competitive Programming Society, IIUC Developers & Entrepreneurs Society, IIUC Cyber Security Club & IEEE Computer Society IIUC Student Branch Chapter. The inauguration ceremony brought together distinguished faculty members, organisers and students, marking the commencement of one of the department’s most anticipated annual events. 🌸
The programme was graced by the presence of our respected Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Mohammad Hasmat Ali; Chairman of the CSE Department, Prof. Dr Mohammad Aman Ullah; Prof. Shamsul Alam; Convenor Prof. Dr ANM Rezaul Karim; Member Secretary ABM Yasir Arafat; and other distinguished faculty members and students.
One of the major highlights of the day was the colourful IIUC CSE FEST 2026 Rally, where respected teachers, members of the IIUC Computer Club, and students participated with immense enthusiasm. The vibrant rally filled the campus with energy, excitement, and a strong sense of unity, reflecting the true spirit of the CSE community.
Following the rally, the inauguration celebration continued with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony at the premises of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The presence of respected faculty members and students made the moment even more special and memorable.

The Department of Law, International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC), successfully concluded today's session of its Open Discussion Series titled “State Reform and the Constitution: The Bangladesh Perspective”, -organized as part of the instructional activities of the course Constitutional Law of Bangladesh.
The session was graced by Hon'ble Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Hasmat Ali as the Chief Guest. The session was chaired by one of the prominant Constitutional Jurisprudence scholars - Professor Dr. Maimul Ahsan Khan, Dean, Faculty of Law, IIUC. Dr. Saiful Islam, Chairman, Department of Law, and Fatema Tuz-Zohra, Assistant Professor of Law and Female Coordinator, attended as Guests of Honour.
The session was moderated by Taslima Khanam, Associate Professor, Department of Law, Course Instructor of Constitutional Law of Bangladesh, and witnessed active participation from Law students of 44th Batch of the Department enrolled in the course, and the organizing team.
The discussion focused on a number of important constitutional themes, including the spirit of Law, checks and balances of power, the necessity of constitutional reform for meaningful state reform, constituent power and constituted power, popular sovereignty and referendum, and various paradoxes of constitutional jurisprudence. Participants critically examined how constitutional structures shape public institutions, democratic governance, and the relationship between law and political power.
The session encouraged students to engage with contemporary constitutional questions through analytical reasoning, scholarly dialogue, and comparative constitutional perspectives. The discussions reflected the Department’s commitment to promoting constitutional literacy, participatory learning, and research-oriented legal education.
In his remarks, the Hon'ble Pro-Vice Chancellor appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of academic engagement with constitutional and governance issues. The Session Chair highlighted the significance of constitutional discourse in understanding the evolving relationship between state, society, and democratic institutions.

A seminar on the 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦 was held today at the seminar hall of the International Islamic University Chittagong. The event was organized by the Department of Science of Hadith and Islamic Studies.
IIUC Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali Azadi attended the seminar as the chief guest, while Prof. Dr. Md. Rashid Zahed Dean of the Faculty of Shariah was present as the special guest.
The seminar was chaired by Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam, Chairman of the Department of Science of Hadith and Islamic Studies. The keynote paper was presented by Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Salim Uddin of the department.
Prof. Dr. Md. Nazmul Haque Nadvi former Dean of the Faculty of Shariah and Prof. Dr. Md. Shariful Haque, Chairman of the Department of Economics and Banking delivered discussion speeches on the paper.

Mr. A N M Shamsul Islam, Chairman Board of Trustees, Vice-Chancellor of International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali Azadi, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hasmat Ali expressed deep sorrow at the death of Mother of Mr. Muhammad Mahfuzur Rahman, Director (in-charge) of International Affairs & Student Welfare Division (IASWD). In a condolence message BoT Chairman, IIUC VC, Pro VC prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. They said, prayers of IIUC Family be with her. Allah’s blessings be with her and may Allah grant her an abode in Jannat-ul-Ferdous. Expressing heartfelt condolence they prayed to Almighty Allah for giving patience and strength to the bereaved family.
Mentionable that, mother of Mr. Mahfuzur Rahman died yesterday at 12:00 noon. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajeon. A team of IIUC headed by Pro VC Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hasmat Ali alongwith Registrar Colonel Md. Quasem, psc (Retd) attended the Janaja yesterday night at Sadaha, Satkania.
