Fatickchari Coronation Model High School is a boy’s school located Chittagong, Bangladesh’s the most renowned school in Fatickchari and one of the oldest school in Chittagong, Bangladesh was established at 1912. program (both General & Technical). The school has a long historical background. However it is said that school was established at 1912, many of us assume that school was truly established
about 1880.It was named “CORONATION HIGH ENGLISH SCHOOL” based on “CORONATION CEREMONY-1911” of British Monarch, presently known as Fatickchari Coronation Model High School. At the beginning, school building was located at the north-east side of Fatickchari Court (At present there is an all-girls school, named Fatickchari Girls Pilot High School). School Building was relocated at present position at 1917. Another academic building was built at 2014. Due to Natural Calamities and War many school documents have been destroyed. Earlier History of this school is partially known due to improper archiving. Some of documents are preserved at School Archive such as “Acceptance Letter from Kalkata University at 1914”, “Teacher Meeting Report-1935” “Book on Organizing Committee Meeting” , It is assumed that Sub registerAhmed Ajhar ( from Huglee, West Bengal ) is the founder of this school. Name of Akkas Ali Munsef (according to Marble Stone Memorial at Pond Ghat-1934 ) & Sub register Abdul Wahab(According to Marble Stone Memorial at Mosque-1940) are remembered at school history. Revolutionary Binod Bihari Chowdhury was a student of this school.First School Magazine was published at 2001 and First Fresco (Dealika) was published by “Coronation Batch-2012” at 2008. It is said about coronation that thousand bodies-one soul, thousand lives-one goal. Ex-student of coronation is used to arrange Seminar on Higher Study, Eid Reunion at school campus. Such as Eid Reunion-2013(11th August,2013), Seminar on Higher Study(27th July,2014), Career Adda(19th
December,2014) which were jointly arranged by Coronation Batch-2005, Coronation Batch-2009, Coronation Batch-2012, Coronation Batch-2013. School authority organizes Debate Competition, Quiz Competition and school field is used for arranging Scout Campaign, School Football League of Fatickchari Upazilla. The name of Coronation is remembered at the History of establishing Fatickchari Government Primary School, Fatickchari College which was started its class from the school hostel and Fatickchari Girls Pilot High School which was established by replacing School Head Master Residence. It is situated at area of 5.13 acres. The school has a Shahid Minar, an old Monument, large playground, Pond with gallery and ghat, a Mosque, School Hostel, several Science Lab and Library. The most attractive things of this school is its Academic building which is one of the most beautiful building at Fatickchari Upazilla. After seeing this building Dr. Kamal Hossen said “I never imagine such kind of beautiful building can be possible in this region”.
