The Final Round of the Green Leadership Contest 2026, organized by Presidency International School, was held in observance of World Environment Day, embracing the global theme "Climate Action - Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future."

It was our pleasure to have our respected guests: Ms. Nasima Khanom, Head of the Department of Biology, and Mr. Uzzal Kanti Barua, Head of SUSTAINABLE Presidency, along with other members of the SUSTAINABLE Presidency Team.

The contest provided a platform for students to express their concerns about the growing challenges of climate change and environmental degradation. Through their presentations on sustainable practices, the contestants demonstrated strong research skills, presentation abilities, effective communication, and a deep commitment to building a more sustainable world.

As Climate Change continues to affect communities across the globe, Bangladesh remains one of the countries most vulnerable to its impacts. Rising temperatures, unpredictable weather patterns, threats to agriculture, water resources, and public well-being highlight the urgency of climate action. Through this contest, students explored key concepts such as environmental sustainability, the circular economy, community engagement, leadership, research, and communication, while reflecting on their role in creating a greener and more resilient future.

In the Presentation Contest on Sustainable Practices,
Marjaan Mawa (VII-J) secured first place, while
Mahira Zartaj (VII-P) and
Nameer Ahmed Chowdhury (VII-H) secured
second and third place, respectively.

To all our GREEN Heroes, we congratulate you on your tremendous dedication and praiseworthy performance. We wish you every success in your journey as future GREEN leaders.
