3-day long Presidency International Model United Nations 2023 just commenced today and will prolong till September 02 with 350 delegates and EBs from India, Nepal and Afghanistan along with the delegates from various schools, colleges and universities of the country at the Mohana Hall of Raddison Blu Chattogram Bay View. Professor Dr. Kathie Carpenter from the Department of Global Studies of University of Oregon, USA has been the Chief Guest while Afroza Yasmin form UNICEF has been the Guest of Honour of the occasion that is presided over by the Rector of Presidency Education, Dr Imam Hasan Reza and Vice Principals of all three campuses have been present in the occasion. Later the committee sessions continued in the Middle School campus of Presidency.

Today, in Inter-School International Cricket Tournament 2023, Presidency International School has qualified for the next level of the tournament in their second match winning by 7 wickets against SAI International School, India. In reply to SAI International School’s 102 runs in total in 15-Over match, Presidency batters reached the target comfortably without losing wickets within 8 overs. Falak and Jawad from Presidency batted with confidence in their opening partnership and scored 68 and 22 runs respectively.

The unstoppable dexterity of Presidency International School's Team seized the attention of spectators dominating the court at CGS Upper School at the U-15 Inter School Basketball & Futsal-2023 Tournament. They kicked off by winning the group matches with an overwhelming 24-7 lead over Cider and 16-0 over CGS. The grand finale was a sight to behold, concluding in a glorious 21-4 triumph over Cider, solidifying their unconditional supremacy as CHAMPIONS!
Hats off to the shining star of the tournament, Sadman Hasan Chy (IX) of Presidency, whose dazzling performance earned him the coveted TOP SCORER& Most Valuable Player honour, notching an impressive 26 points.

"Discipline precedes, success follows." Following this, Presidency International School inaugurated Discipline Week 2023 in presence of Mr. Jashim Uddin, Vice Principal of Middle School, as a keynote speaker. He delivered a captivating speech igniting a sense of motivation and resilience and urging students to harness discipline to overcome challenges. The programme was also adorned with the presence of Mr. E U M Intekhab, Vice Principal of Senior School, Mr. Nandan Mitra, Director CPD, Mr. Uzzal Kanti Barua, Head of Discipline, along with the teachers and members of the discipline committee. After the formal event, the teachers and students released balloons in order to mark the inauguration of Discipline Week 2023.

Mr. Anisul Alam, Director of Physical Education at the University of Chittagong, graced us as Chief Guest. The event was adorned with esteemed Vice Principals Mr. E U M Intekhab and Mr. Mohammad Jashim Uddin, adding prestige. Mr. Alam made the symbolic first move on the chessboard to inaugurate the tournament. The battles have begun, promising a clash of strategic brilliance among the four houses. Being cognizant of it, Presidency has arranged a Parents -Teachers Discussion Meeting for 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐈𝐈𝐈. The main purpose of this meeting is to create a common platform, where teachers and parents come together to enrich the students' educational outcome and all round development.

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒’ 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆:

P*S (Junior School) arranged an “Orientation Programme” for the parents of Playgroup. The programme commenced with the warm welcome speech by Salma Akter, Head of Junior School.
Vice Principal, Firoz Ahmed, gave an overview of active learning and presented a short documentary on the activities of the students of Playgroup. Vice Principal of Senior School spoke on the teachers’ training and delivered motivational words towards the guardians.
Vice Principal of Middle School, Jashim Uddin, talked about the achievements of our students. Chief Coordinator, Rowzatul Zannat, spoke on the general rules and the teaching methods while Farhana Rahman, Coordinator of Playgroup, introduced the books.
It was a successful event hosted by Zinnan Akthar.

The budding enthusiasts of the Junior School are ready to embark on their journey into the realm of chess. The opening ceremony of the chess training programme was inaugurated by the esteemed Guest of Honour, the ex- teacher of P*S, Mr Emdadul Hoque. In his inspiring speech, he shed light on the significance of engaging the young players in chess. The event was successfully presided over by Mr Firoz Ahmed, the Vice Principal of Junior School. Along with them, Ms Salma Akter, Head of Junior School and all the teachers of class II made the event a resounding success.

চট্টগ্রামের পাঁচলাইশস্থ প্রেসিডেন্সি ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্কুলে জাতীয় শোক দিবস পালিত হয়। এতে বাংলা বিভাগের শিক্ষক সৌমিত্র কানুনগোর উপস্থাপনায় ও প্রেসিডেন্সি এডুকেশনের রেক্টর ড. ইমাম হাসান রেজার সভাপতিত্বে প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন প্রেসিডেন্সি ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্কুলের চেয়ারম্যান আশরাফুল হক খান স্বপন। সিনিয়র ও মিডল স্কুল উপাধ্যক্ষদ্বয়, স্কুল ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক গুলজার আলম আলমগীরসহ আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন স্কুল পরিচালনা পর্ষদের সদস্যবৃন্দ ও শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকাবৃন্দ।

জাতীয় শোক দিবসে শহিদদের আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনা করে দোয়া-মোনাজাত পরিচালনা করেন মিডল স্কুলের চিফ কো-অর্ডিনেটর মোহাম্মদ সাখাওয়াত হোসেন। বঙ্গবন্ধুকে নিয়ে স্মৃতিচারণমূলক কবিতা পাঠ করেন বাংলা বিভাগের শিক্ষক রাশেদুল ইসলাম, অসমাপ্ত আত্মজীবনী থেকে পাঠ করেন বাংলাদেশ স্টাডিজ বিভাগের শিক্ষক রাজীব কুমার বিশ্বাস ও বক্তব্য উপস্থাপন করেন বাংলাদেশ স্টাডিজ বিভাগের শিক্ষক মেহেদি হাসান।

We are thrilled to announce that Presidency International School organised a Prize Distribution Ceremony for the Bronze Award of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. A total of 119 talented students of class VIII were honoured for their outstanding achievements. Distinguished Vice Principal of Junior School, Mr. Firoz Ahmed handed over the certificates among the students. The programme was presided over by the respected Vice Principal of Senior School, Mr. E U M Intekhab.

Throughout the programme, our students have demonstrated exceptional skills and a strong sense of responsibility. They have diligently completed various activities ranging from community service to physical and skill-based challenges. These accomplishments truly exemplify their limitless potential.

A Fresh Dawn: Commencement of a New Academic Session 2023-2024 at Presidency
The air was filled with palpable excitement and nervous anticipation as Presidency prepared to welcome a bunch of eager minds on the dawn of a new academic session.
As the day progressed, the campus buzzed with activity. From exploring the well-stocked library to engaging in friendly banter during tiffin break at the cafeteria, the students quickly settled into the rhythm of their new academic life. The teachers, too, wasted no time in delving into their carefully planned lessons, aiming to ignite the spark of curiosity within their pupils.
The beginning of a new academic session was nothing short of magical—a harmonious convergence of academic excellence, camaraderie, and personal growth.

অভিনন্দন প্রেসিডেন্সি বিতর্ক দল।

প্রেসিডেন্সির মুকুটে যুক্ত হল আরো একটি সাফল্যের পালক । "পুষ্টি প্রথম আলো জাতীয় বিতর্ক উৎসব ২০২৩" এ আঞ্চলিক পর্বে চট্টগ্রাম দক্ষিণ অঞ্চলে রানার্স আপ হওয়ার গৌরব অর্জন করে প্রেসিডেন্সি ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্কুল। প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণকারী ১৬ টি স্কুলের মধ্য থেকে সরকারি মুসলিম হাই স্কুল এবং প্রেসিডেন্সি ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্কুল চুড়ান্ত পর্বে উন্নীত হয়। এই প্রতিযোগিতায় স্কুলের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে ফারিশতা হক (৯ম শ্রেণি), ঈমান উল হক (৯ম শ্রেণি), তানজিম জাওয়াদ চৌধুরী (৯ম শ্রেণি) এবং অশ্মি মহাজন (৮ম শ্রেণি)। উল্লেখ্য, ২০১৭ সালে প্রথম আলো তারূণ্য উৎসবের বাংলা বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতায় চ্যাম্পিয়ন হওয়ার গৌরব অর্জন করেছিল ।

Presidency International School proudly attended Model United Nations 2023 in Nepal, organized by Xavier Academy Nepal from 18th July, 2023 to 20th July, 2023. About 120 delegates from France, Germany, India, Bangladesh & Nepal participated on that prestigious event.
Areeb Noor Farooqui & Iftekhar Ali Siam (A2) represented Presidency International School as delegates.
In this event, there were mentioned of five committees of the UN which are: UNHCR, UNHRC, UNNA, UNFAO & UNSC.
At the end of the final day, there was an Award Ceremony, where committee-wise awards were announced and distributed to the winners. Among all the participants, the best delegate in Press is Iftekhar Ali Siam from UNNA & Special Mentioned (highest prize in the committee) is Areeb Noor Farooqui* from UNHCR who played his role as the representative of the USA.

“Celebrating Achievements and Inspiring Futures at the Year Ending Extravaganza!”

In a kaleidoscope of brilliance, the curtains rose on the grand stage of the Year Ending Prize Distribution Ceremony-2023 of Senior School held on 24th June, 2023 with the enthusiastic presence of students, their parents, teachers, members of school academic management and notable personalities in the Institute of Engineers, Chittagong. The Vice Chancellor, Southern University Bangladesh, Professor Mohammad Mozammel Hoque graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Professor Dr. Nowshad Amin, Vice Chancellor-in-charge, University of Science and Technology Chittagong as the Special Guest.
Presided over by Dr. Imam Hasan Reza, the honourable Rector, Presidency Education, the ceremony commenced with an awe-inspiring speech by Mr. E U M Intekhab, Vice Principal, Senior School who showcased the tireless efforts of Presidency in nurturing young prodigies. The highest world scholarship achievements of Presidency were showcased in the speech of Mr. Mohammad Jashim Uddin, the Guidance Counsellor and Vice Principal, Middle School. A mesmerising documentary unravelled the tapestry of Presidency's year-long activities. A fantastic cultural show, showcasing mesmerising performances by both teachers and students, enthralled the entire audience.
With award distribution among the young achievers and the vote of thanks to all concerned by the honourable Rector, the ceremony came to an end. The day was also graced by the presence of the Chairman, School Academic Management, Mr. Ashraful Haque Khan Swapan, other members of School academic management, Vice Principal, Junior School, Mr. Firoz Ahmed, guardians, teachers and students.

With great fervour, the Year Ending Prize Distribution Ceremony 2023 of Middle School was held at the Institute of Engineers, Chittagong.
Dr. Imam Hasan Reza, the Rector, Presidency Education, presided over the event, and Dr. Md. Aminur Rahaman, ndc, Divisional Commissioner, Chattogram graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

They distributed prizes to the students of classes III to VII for their outstanding academic performances and achievements in extracurricular activities.

As a Parent Representative, Professor ABM Abu Noman, Department of Law and Former Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Chittagong, and the Vice Principal, Middle School, Mohammad Jashim Uddin, delivered welcome speeches.

The gracious presence of Mr. Ashraful Hoque Khan Swapan, Chairman, Presidency Academic Management, members of the School Academic Management, Vice Principal, Senior School Mr. E U M Intekhab, Vice Principal, Junior School, Mr. Firoz Ahmed, parents, teachers, students, and the vibrating stage performances of the students made the programme captivating and successful.

Presidency MUN Club is exhilarated to announce the comeback of our signature event after four long years! We are here again to organize our second and latest edition – Presidency International Model United Nations 2023. We strive to be the best while allowing our peers to compete on an international scale and pushing them to go above and beyond their limits as delegates. The event is scheduled to be hosted from 31st August – 2nd September, 2023 in Presidency International School in the heart of the economic hub of Bangladesh.
Bearing rising tensions, we have set “Cooperation and Collaboration for pursuing World Peace” as the theme of the event. Presidency International MUN is ready to set benchmarks in the MUN circuit, through engaging young diplomats where we’ll be expecting the delegates to delve into debates about issues. Congratulations to the wonderful Batch of 2023 on their well-deserved Graduation from Presidency! It was an incredible ceremony filled with pride, joy and anticipation for a brighter tomorrow that awaits our graduates. The auspicious programme was held at 6 PM yesterday at Raddisson Blu.
It turned into an amazing look as the graduates, adorned in their elegant gowns and hats, commenced the elegant procession and entered the auditorium through applause and cheers of their families, teachers and friends. The air was brimming with joy and excitement as the students prepared to mark this significant milestone. Chaired by Dr. Imam Hasan Reza, Rector of Presidency Education, the auspicious programme was addressed by Eminent scientist Professor Dr. M. Shamsher Ali as the convocation speaker and Mr. Mizanur Rahman, Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief as the special guest. The programme was also blessed with the presence of the Chairman of School Academic Management, Mr Ashraful Hoque Khan along with the other members. The speakers appreciated the teachers’ sincere contribution and students’ academic excellence throughout their school life and advised them to spread the light of education, attain all rounder leadership so they can lead the nation in future.

‘আলোকিত মানুষ চাই’ এ স্লোগানকে সামনে রেখে বিশ্ব সাহিত্য কেন্দ্রের নিয়মিত কার্যক্রম চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে প্রেসিডেন্সি ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্কুল । শিক্ষার্থীরা নিয়ম অনুযায়ী বর্ষব্যাপী নির্দিষ্ট পাঠক্রম অনুসরণ করে তাদের পাঠচর্চা করে। বছর শেষে সেই পঠিত বইগুলোর উপর মূল্যায়ন পরীক্ষায় অংশ নেয়। এরই অংশ হিসেবে ২০২২ সালের ১৫ই নভেম্বর এই কার্যক্রমের সদস্যরা মূল্যায়ন পরীক্ষায় অংশগ্রহণ করে এবং স্বাগত পুরস্কার পায় ১১ জন পড়ুয়া সদস্য । এরা হল অশ্মি মহাজন, মুসতাইন মাহাজাবিন অদ্রি, লাবিবা সুলতানা, তাহিয়া মানতাশা চৌধুরী, লুযাইনা আযিম, তাফানুম মুনতাহা, জাইমা হোসেন, আয়শা হাসনাত, ওয়ারিশা কাজমী, সিমরা কাজী এবং নুসরাত জাহান ফায়জো। তারা সকলেই ৭ম শ্রেণির শিক্ষার্থী। চট্টগ্রাম মিউনিসিপাল মডেল হাই স্কুল এন্ড কলেজ-এ পুরস্কার বিতরণী অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বিশ্ব সাহিত্য কেন্দ্রের পক্ষ থেকে পুরস্কার তুলে দেন চট্টগ্রাম মিউনিসিপাল মডেল হাই স্কুল এন্ড কলেজ-এর সম্মানিত অধ্যক্ষ জনাব সাহেদুল কবির চৌধুরী। স্কুলের পক্ষ থেকে পুরস্কার গ্রহণ করেন স্কুলের শিক্ষক ও বিশ্ব সাহিত্য কেন্দ্রের কোঅর্ডিনেটর শারমীন সুলতানা।

Mrs. Syeda Monifa Akter and Md. Shahed Hossain, Department of Biology, attended a two-day Cambridge International Teachers' Professional Development Training, held in BAF Shaheen English Medium College(SEMC) on 2nd and 3rd June, 2023. The training was organised by the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE).
