Around the late nineties many people were feeling the necessity of a good English medium school in Chittagong which would provide children quality education, yet remain faithful to the cultural roots we have nurtured for thousands of years. However, they were scattered all over the country and thus things were not really clicking. In mid July 1997, six fresh university graduates sat together, dedicated themselves and took the initiative to start an English medium school where feet firmly grounded in their own culture. With that dedication, Presidency International School started its academics on January 02, 1998 with 15 distinguished teachers and 56 students. At present, it has over thousands of students in classes Play Group to A level in three distinct campuses- Junior School, Middle School and Senior School. Presidency International School is affiliated with the Cambridge International Education (CIE) since 2003 and our Centre No. The first batch of O' AS and A' Level appeared at the exams in 2005, 2009 and 2010 respectively. Beside Cambridge curriculum, Presidency focuses on a holistic approach of education and includes its own workbooks and, co-curricular and extra-curricular programmes to provide them a total education to ensure a broader support for their social, physical and emotional development and enhance academic success. Thus, taking preparatory classes for GCE O level and A level syllabuses of CAIE, students must take classes in Mathematics, English, Bengali, Art, Computer Science and Social studies for all 10 years of Primary and Secondary schools (1st -10th grade). Presidency follows the Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary curriculum for its Junior and Middle School sections. Besides, Presidency does a rigorous research on the available curricula, Bangladesh National Curriculum and CIE pilot projects, and produces books and teaching aids for Bengali, Art and Crafts, Bangladesh Studies and Religious Studies to enrich students’ knowledge at the Primary and Lower Secondary level. Presidency family is very much thankful to all stakeholders- the initiators, founder members, dedicated teachers, our valuable parents and guardians, most precious students, our staff and well wishers- for giving us plethora of inspirations in our journey towards achieving our goal. Our goal is nothing but to create a generation globally competent enough to face the challenges of the 21st century.

Students of Presidency interested in pursuing higher education in the United States participated in an engaging and informative session conducted by Education USA, a program of the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka.

The interactive session was led by Mr. Sohel Iqbal, Education USA Advisor, who spent an hour with our senior school students, providing valuable insights into studying in the USA. Students actively participated, asked thoughtful questions, and received clear guidance on various aspects of higher education opportunities in the United States.

Mr. Iqbal expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm, curiosity, and spontaneous participation of our students, making the session both enjoyable and highly productive.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐆𝐒 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚

There are moments in sports that go beyond the scoreboard — moments that speak of character, of courage, and of the quiet fire that burns in those who refuse to give less than everything. CGS Sports Fiesta 2026, held from the 17 to 23 June 2026, was full of such moments, and Presidency International School stood at the heart of them all, crowned champions in the greatest number of events across the entire tournament.

Our wonderful athletes claimed the champion's title in four arenas: Chess, Basketball, Football, and Table Tennis — both Boys' and Girls' Singles. In Girls' Badminton, a spirited side earned the Runners-up position, whilst our cricketers and Boys' Badminton players, in both Singles and Doubles, along with the Boys' Table Tennis Doubles pair, advanced as valiant semi-finalists.

Among the individual honours, Adiat Ul Alam dominated the basketball court, earning both the MVP and Top Scorer awards. On the football field, Mustakim Inkead Jawad was recognised as Best Defender, while Sadnan Shamim secured both the Man of the Match and MVP awards. Yezdan Nur Sarwar, Jawadul Alam Arsun, and Epsh*ta Nandan Ishmu also delivered outstanding performances to earn Man of the Match honours. Madni Zakaria was named Man of the Final for his decisive contribution when it mattered most. In cricket, Abdul Baset Falak's exceptional display earned him the Man of the Match award.

To every athlete who stepped onto the field, the court, or the board, you carried the name of Presidency with honour. This is not merely a collection of trophies; it is a testament to what this school is made of.

𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

On 20 June 2026, the Art Department of Presidency International School successfully organized an inspiring Art Exhibition and Award Ceremony at the Middle School Campus, celebrating the creativity, talent, and achievements of its young artists.

The exhibition featured a remarkable collection of artworks and crafts created by students throughout the academic year. It provided a wonderful platform for students, parents, and teachers to come together and appreciate the artistic accomplishments and creative expression of the learners.

The programme was honoured by the presence of Dr. Imam Hasan Reza, Rector and Principal of Presidency International School, who highly appreciated the outstanding works displayed by the students. In his address, he commended the young artists for their creativity, innovation, and thoughtful vision of a greener and more sustainable world.

The event was also graced by Mr. Ashraful Haque Khan, Chairman of Presidency Academic Management; Mr. Mizanur Rahman, distinguished resource person; Mr. Mohammad Jashim Uddin, Vice Principal of Middle School; Mr. Nandan Mitra, Director of CPD; Mr. Nurul Kabir, Director of RCD; and Mr. Sakawat Hossain, Chief Coordinator of Middle School.

Visitors were deeply impressed by the diverse range of paintings, drawings, craftworks, and mixed-media projects on display. The exhibits reflected not only the students’ artistic skills and imagination but also their growing awareness of environmental issues and commitment to building a more sustainable future.
A special highlight of the event was the Award Ceremony, where outstanding young artists were recognised through prestigious awards named after eminent Bangladeshi artists, including Zainul Abedin and Novera Ahmed. These awards served to inspire students to pursue excellence in the arts while celebrating the rich artistic heritage of Bangladesh.

The exhibition was a resounding success, made possible through the dedication of the students, the guidance of their teachers, and the enthusiastic support of parents and the wider school community. As a fitting culmination of another productive and enriching academic year, the event left visitors with a renewed appreciation for artistic creativity, environmental stewardship, and the transformative power of education.

We were happy to welcome Mr. Mostafizur Rahman, Senior Director – Trade and Investment, Australian High Commission Bangladesh, to our school today.
During his visit, Mr. Rahman engaged in a productive discussion with the school leadership team on potential areas of collaboration and partnership.
