📢Research Assistant Opportunity at IEER, CUET💥

We’re looking for two (02) motivated Research Assistant (RA) to join IEER, CUET for Six (6) months to work in the field of Earthquake Engineering for safer and resilient infrastructure in the face of earthquake hazard.

Please attend the Walk-in-Interview on April 27, 2025 to be held at the office of the Dean, Faculty of Civil and Environment Engineering, CUET.

🔎 What you’ll be working on:
Project #1: Resilience-Based Seismic Assessment of Plan Irregular RC Buildings
Project #2: Optimal Seismic Intensity Measure Selection and Resilience Assessment of RC Dual System Buildings

👩‍💻 Who should attend:
* Background in civil/structural/earthquake engineering, or related fields.
* Prior experience in nonlinear seismic analysis and resilience assessment.
* Experience with OpenSees/Abaqus and Python/MATLAB is a plus.

The Institute of Earthquake Engineering Research (IEER) is going to offer a training course on “CSi ETABS Analysis and Design of Building Structures.” This training will help the participants to accurately model a building, consider and assign various loads, and perform analysis and design for earthquakes and wind. Additionally, classes will be held with hands-on lessons on response spectrum analysis, nonlinear modeling, and nonlinear time history analysis, in addition to equivalent static analysis.

A seminar was organized by the institute on 27th February, 2025.
