অগ্নিকান্ডে আহত হয়েছিলেন
উদ্ধারকর্মী ইজাজউদ্দীন কায়কোবাদ।
প্রধানমন্ত্রী তাঁকে সিঙ্গাপুর পাঠানোর
ব্যবস্থা করেছিলেন চিকিৎসার জন্য। কিছুক্ষন
আগে সিঙ্গাপুরের হাসপাতালে তিনি মারা গেছেন।

এইচএসসি পরীক্ষার রুটিনে পরিবর্তন আসছে|
আসন্ন এইচএসসি পরীক্ষার রুটিনে পরিবর্তন আসছে। বিজ্ঞান বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীদের আন্দোলনে বাধ্য হয়ে শিক্ষা বোর্ড ইতোমধ্যে খসড়া রুটিন মন্ত্রণালয়ে পাঠিয়েছে। ঢাকা মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা বোর্ডের চেয়ারম্যান অধ্যাপক ফাহিমাখাতুন যায়যায়দিনকে বলেন, আসন্ন এইচএসসি পরীক্ষার রুটিন পরিবর্তনেরজন্য একটি খসড়া মন্ত্রণালয়ে পাঠানো হয়েছে।সিদ্ধান্ত পাওয়া গেলে রুটিন পরিবর্তন করা হবে। র৬পরীক্ষার রুটিনে বিজ্ঞান বিভাগের পরীক্ষা পরিবর্তন হবে। সম্প্রতি ২০১২ সালে অনুষ্ঠিতব্য এইচএসসি পরীক্ষার রুটিন প্রকাশ করেছে দেশের বিভিন্ন শিক্ষা বোর্ড। আগামী ১ এপ্রিল থেকে সারাদেশে এইচএসসি ও সমমান পরীক্ষা শুরু হচ্ছে। কিন্তু বিজ্ঞান বিভাগের জন্য যে রুটিন করা হয়েছে সেখানে একটি পরীক্ষার মাঝে অন্যটির জন্য মাত্র একদিন ফাঁকা রাখা হয়েছে। যা অন্য বছরগুলোর তুলনায় ব্যতিক্রম। এ জন্য শিক্ষার্থীরা বিজ্ঞান বিভাগের রুটিন পুনর্বিবেচনার দাবি জানিয়েমানববন্ধন ও ঢাকা শিক্ষা বোর্ড ঘেরাও এবং বোর্ডের চেয়ারম্যানের কাছেস্মারকলিপি দেয়। বুধবার শিক্ষার্থীরা ঢাকা মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা বোর্ড ঘেরাও করলে বোর্ডের সামনে বিশৃঙ্খলার অভিযোগে পুলিশ পরীক্ষার্থীদের মারধর করে।এতে ২০ শিক্ষার্থী পুলিশের লাঠিপেটায় আহত হয়।
