শহিদ ওসমান হাদি (রাহি.)-এর স্মরণে বিশেষ ছায়া সংসদীয় বিতর্ক
শহিদ ওসমান হাদির স্মৃতি ও ত্যাগকে সম্মান জানিয়ে এবং সমসাময়িক প্রেক্ষাপট বিশ্লেষণে আয়োজিত হলো এক বিশেষ বিতর্ক সভা।
বিষয়: "এই সংসদ মনে করে - এই সরকার জুলাই বিপ্লবের জনআকাঙ্ক্ষা বাস্তবায়নে সম্পূর্ণ রূপে ব্যর্থ হয়েছে।"
একটি যুক্তিপূর্ণ লড়াইয়ে মুখোমুখি হয়েছিল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের দুটি বিভাগ:

১৮ই ডিসেম্বর ২০২৫-এ আধিপত্যবাদ বিরোধী লড়াইয়ে শহিদ ওসমান হাদির আত্মত্যাগ আমাদের সার্বভৌমত্ব ও ন্যায়বিচারের দাবিকে আরও জোরালো করে। সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে আয়োজিত এই বিতর্কের ফলাফল অঘোষিত থাকলেও, প্রতিটি যুক্তি ছিল আগামীর বাংলাদেশ গড়ার একেকটি দিকনির্দেশনা।

Concluding Ceremony 2025 and Public Speaking Grand Final
The DoE Debate Club organised the Concluding Ceremony of the 2025 session along with the Grand Final of the Public Speaking Competition. The club is delighted with its achievements and proudly ends another successful year. The programme was honoured by the presence of guest judges, including Ms. Joysree Das, Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacy at USTC, Ms. Gazi Wafa Akbar, Lecturer of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at FLS, USTC, and Md. Nayeem Islam, Lecturer of FSSH, USTC. Their presence and support made the event more meaningful.
The Dean of FSSH, Dr. Gurupada Chakraborty, and the Chairman of the Department of English attended as chief guests. The Advisor of the club, Senior Lecturer Esh*ta Ma’am, along with Lecturer Hemal Chowdhury, provided valuable guidance throughout the programme, and their support is sincerely appreciated.
In conclusion, this ceremony marks a proud ending to the club’s 2025 journey and inspires us to move forward with greater dedication.

Tomorrow, the Department of English Debate Club is hosting the Grand Final of the Public Speaking Contest along with the Farewell Ceremony of the 37th Batch. With this event, we will officially conclude the DoE Debate Club Session 2025. Afterward, the club will be newly reformed for the upcoming session.
The program will begin at 11 a.m. Your presence will make the event more vibrant and inspiring.

🎤 Public Speaking Competition (Initial Round)
Today, the Department of English Debate Club successfully organized the Public Speaking Competition (Initial Round).
A total of 22 participants from the Department of English, representing both the Bangla and English sections, showcased outstanding performances. From this round, 5 participants from the English section and 7 participants from the Bangla section have been selected for the Final Round.
The Final Round is scheduled to be held on 17 November, marking the concluding event of 2025 organized by the Department of English Debate Club.

Department of English Shines with Debate Championship Glory!🏆
The Department of English (DoE) proudly celebrates a great achievement as our team became the Champion of the Intra-University Debate Competition 2025!
Our talented debaters Farjana Akter Patwary (38th batch), Al Muktadir Jami (37th batch), and Mostafa Jishan (38th batch) showed excellent speaking skills, strong logic, and great confidence throughout the competition.
The two-day event took place on 9 to 10 November 2025, ending with a glorious victory over the Department of Pharmacy. Their teamwork and dedication made this success possible.
We express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gurupada Chakraborty, Dean of FSSH, for his inspiring support, Mr. Hemal Chowdhury, Lecturer and Advisor of the DoE Debate Club, for his guidance, and Md. Nayeem Islam, Lecturer, FSSH, for his mentorship.
We are also honored to have the constant encouragement of Kamrun Nahar Ma’am, Anawar Sir, and our respected Chairman Shaila Ma’am, whose support has always inspired the team.

We are very pleased to announce that our English Team from the Department of English has successfully reached the Final!
The Final English Debate will begin tomorrow at 10 AM in Room 601.
It’s high time we show our support and cheer for our team at the central level. Let’s wish Jishan, Jami, and Farjana the best of luck as they strive for glory! ✨

Central Debate Competition 2025
Today, the Central Debate Competition was held successfully.
We are proud to share that three teams from the DoE Debate Club participated in the event.
🔹 Team English: Jami, Farjana, Jishan
🔹 Team Bangla (1): Nure Taslima, Jehan Mahjabin, Sakib
🔹 Team Bangla (2): Shourav, Tazmin, Nishat
Both of our Bangla teams fought their hearts out and reached the quarter-final and semi-final rounds. Though they could not make it to the final, their effort and spirit were truly commendable.
Meanwhile, the English team has proudly secured their spot in the Grand Final.
The Department of English is delighted with the outstanding performances of all our debaters. Both Bangla and English teams have made us proud. ❤️

In today’s session, the DoE Debate Club held a Public Speaking Workshop, hosted by the former president of the club, MD Fokrul Islam Rabby(32nd Batch).
It was a remarkable and interesting session that excited the juniors while teaching the basics of public speaking, such as building confidence, engaging the audience, using body language, and speaking clearly. Participants learned useful tips to improve their speaking skills.
This workshop was a great practice for the upcoming Public Speaking Competition and encouraged the juniors to take part with confidence.
