The department offers four years undergraduate program consisting of 54 courses leading to Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering to its respective graduates.The department of CSE has expanded its curriculum to graduate level by offering two years Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering. The courses offered by the department aim to:

ls to develop software-based solutions to problems in variety of contexts;
• Offers curriculum that conforms to the highest international standards;
• Develop strong ground in all the core areas of computer science inside the students
• Emphasis on the most state-of-the-art ways of engineering software to be used in the IT industry. The department has included courses in the algorithmic foundations of computer science, introductory and advanced programming, net-centric computing, operating systems, theoretical aspects of computer science, software engineering, distributed systems, artificial intelligence and computer and information security etc. With a view to providing best possible laboratory experiences, the department has already established four (04) well-equipped laboratories with high configuration computers and devices and students are expected to deliver a high standard of practical work. There are currently 19 full-time faculty members and 13 adjunct faculty members from University of Chittagong (CU) and Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET). Our faculty members are highly capable of eloquently deliberating lectures in different domain of Computer Science & Engineering. We take pride in the many advanced areas of research in which faculty and students are engaged, including Computational Intelligence, Information and Computer Security, Software Engineering and Software Architecture, Formal Methods and Computer Science. The department regularly arranges industrial visits, seminars, workshops, programming contests and programs on other extracurricular activities. The department is committed to produce graduates who are able to meet the need of academia as well as the industry and contribute to the economic growth of the nation. Our vision here is to groom our students to their fullest potential and hence to become a school of excellence that brings out computer engineers with high technical competencies who can make a difference in this era of achieving sustainability in every sphere of life.
