On this historic day, we remember the sacrifices of those who fought bravely for our freedom during the Bangladesh Liberation War. Their courage and resilience gave birth to a sovereign nation.

Our Liberation War was not only a struggle for independence, but also a fight for equality, human dignity, and social justice values that continue to guide us as a nation.

Let us carry forward the spirit of independence by standing for truth, equality, and humanity in every sphere of life.

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 – 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆

On this solemn day, we remember the victims of the atrocities carried out during 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, a dark chapter in our history that marked the beginning of one of the most devastating genocides.

In the name of power, countless Bangalees including members of the East Pakistan Rifles, police officers, students, teachers, and ordinary civilians were brutally killed. The violence was not only an attack on lives, but on identity, dignity, and the very foundation of humanity.

Genocide is not merely a historical tragedy; it is a grave violation of international law and justice. It reminds us why the pursuit of accountability, human rights, and the rule of law remains essential.

Let this day strengthen our resolve to stand against injustice, to give voice to the silenced, and to uphold truth in every forum we enter.

মহান ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি শহীদ দিবস ও আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবসে ভাষা আন্দোলনের বীর শহীদদের প্রতি জানাই গভীর শ্রদ্ধা ও কৃতজ্ঞতা।

১৯৫২ সালের এই দিনে মাতৃভাষা বাংলার অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠার সংগ্রামে সালাম, বরকত, রফিক, জব্বারসহ অসংখ্য ভাষা সৈনিক বুকের তাজা রক্ত ঢেলে বাংলাকে রাষ্ট্রভাষার মর্যাদা এনে দেন।

তাঁদের সেই আত্মত্যাগের মহিমায় আজ আমরা গর্বিত-
আমাদের প্রিয় মাতৃভাষা বাংলা আজ বিশ্বদরবারে মর্যাদার আসনে অধিষ্ঠিত।

A team consisting of Mooters Atkia Maisha (5th semester) and Ishat Samia Farin (5th semester), along with Researcher Tarequl Islam (7th semester) from the Department of Law, is representing BGC Trust University Bangladesh in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2026 (Bangladesh Qualifying Rounds), held at American International University Bangladesh (AIUB). The preliminary rounds have just commenced.

With commitment, intellectual rigor, and relentless hard work, we are confident that the team will represent BGC Trust University Bangladesh with distinction and excellence on this prestigious moot court competition.
