🚍 Northern Lakes Public Schools Transportation Update 🚍

Attention Northern Lakes Families!

We wanted to take a moment to share important updates to our Transportation Policy for the upcoming school year. Our goal is to ensure safe, efficient, and timely transportation for all students. Please take note of the following key points:

🚍 New Bus Schedules
Due to the adjustment in school start and end times, all bus routes and pick-up/drop-off times have been updated. Please review the new schedule on our website or check your email for specific route information.

🚌 Safety First
- All students are required to follow the bus safety rules, which include remaining seated, wearing seat belts (where applicable), and listening to the bus driver at all times.
- Masks are optional but encouraged for students with underlying health concerns.

🚦 Updated Pick-Up/Drop-Off Locations
In some areas, pick-up and drop-off locations have been consolidated for efficiency. Please confirm your child’s assigned stop prior to the first day of school. We ask parents and guardians to arrive at stops at least 5 minutes before the scheduled time.

📱 Bus Tracking App
We’re excited to introduce a new bus tracking app that allows parents to monitor their child’s bus route in real-time. More details on how to download and use the app will be sent out soon!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you about a change in our school start and end times for the upcoming school year, effective [Monday September 16th]. After careful consideration and community feedback, Northern Lakes Public Schools will be adjusting our schedule to better support the needs of our students and staff.

New School Hours:
- Elementary Schools: 9:00 AM – 2:55 PM
- Junior High Schools: 8:00 AM – 2:25 PM
- High Schools:8AM – 2:25 PM

Previously, all schools ended at 3:00 PM, and the start times were as follows:
- Elementary Schools:7:45 AM
- Junior High Schools:7:15 AM
- High Schools:7:15 AM

These new start and end times are designed to provide students with more rest and align with their natural sleep cycles, which has been shown to enhance both academic performance and overall well-being. We believe these changes will contribute positively to the learning environment for all grade levels.

Transportation Adjustments:
Bus schedules will be updated to reflect the new times, and we will send out detailed transportation information in the coming weeks to help you prepare for this transition.

We understand that changes to daily routines may require some adjustment, and we are committed to working with you to make this transition as smooth as possible.
