"If you don't mind I want to share my love story, with maths. The way I loved her, and broke up and finally my realization that I can't live without her. After my SSC, I was somehow motivated for math olympiad and started to try heart and soul. There were some days, the only thing I did was maths, maths and maths. I didn't go to Notre Dame though I got chance, because I thought it would not be possible for me to work for olympiad for the extreme academic pressure. After two long months of preparation, I appeared from division to national level in Bangladesh National Math Olympiad, but I was eliminated unfortunately. That year, strangely, I achieved honorable mention in Asia Pacific math olympiad. The next year I failed to cross the division level in nationals. This is weird I again won HM in Asia. I was frustrated and wanted to separate me from math. I didn't try for pure mathematics in DU. I had options but made a choice. Now I'm in BUET but somewhere in my mind, may be, I've fascination for maths. I've been looking forward to publish a research paper on recurrence relations. Let's see what happens"

ম্যাথ অলেম্পিয়াড ২০১৫ উৎসবকে আরো বর্ণাঢ্য করার জন্য আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে ছবির ও অভিজ্ঞতা লেখার প্রতিযোগিতা।

ছবির প্রতিযোগিতা

· কোন না কোন উৎসব প্রাঙ্গণ থেকে উৎসব সংক্রান্ত ছবি তুলে তা ফেসবুকে নিজের প্রোফাইলে/ টাইমলাইনে/গণিত অলিম্পিয়াড গ্রুপে আপলোড করতে হবে
· আপলোড করার সময় উৎসবের ভ্যেনু এবং ছবি তোলার তারিখ থাকতে হবে
· অবশ্যই হ্যাশট্যাগ দিয়ে প্রকাশ করতে হবে। অর্থাৎ ছবির ক্যাপশনে কথাটা থাকলেই চলবে।

উৎসবের ছবির জন্য চারটি পুরস্কার (ট্যাব)

ক. সবচেয়ে বেশি ভিন্ন ভিন্ন ছবি আপলোডকারীর জন্য,

খ. যে ছবিটি সবচেয়ে বেশি লাইক পাবে,

গ. যে ছবি সবচেয়ে বেশি শেয়ার হবে, এবং

ঘ. সবচেয়ে সুন্দর ও বৈচিত্রপূর্ণ ছবি (জুরি কমিটি বিচার করবে)

এছাড়া উৎসবকে ঘিরে যে কোন অভিজ্ঞতা লেখা যাবে নিজের ফেসবুক পেজে অথবা পাঠানো যাবে গণিত অলিম্পিয়াডের ব্লগে। সবচেয়ে সেরা লেখার জন্যও থাকবে একটি ট্যাব পুরস্কার।
প্রতিযোগিতায় গণিত অলিম্পিয়াড কমিটি, একাডেমিক কাউন্সিলর এবং কোর ভলান্টিয়ার ছাড়া যে কেও অংশ নিতে পারবে।

তো জিতে নাও পাঁচটি ট্যাবের যেটি তোমার!!!

এখন বছর প্রায় শেষের দিকে। অলম্পিয়াডগুলো এক এক করে শুরু হল বলে। আসলে, পঞ্চম বাংলাদেশ ফিজিক্স অলম্পিয়াডের রেজিস্ট্রেশন শুরু হয়ে গেছে। যত দ্রুত সম্ভব রেজিস্ট্রেশন করে ফেলা উচিৎ। রেজিস্ট্রেশন লিঙ্ক:

খুব সহজ সমস্যা থাকল আজকের জন্য...

এক ধরনের ব্যাক্টেরিয়া একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর পর সংখ্যায় দ্বিগুণ হয়ে যায়। ঠিক দুই দিন পরে মাত্র ৫০টি ব্যাক্টেরিয়া পরিনত হয় ৩২০০টিতে।

আরো ৩২ ঘন্টা পরে কতটি নতুন ব্যাকটেরিয়া জন্মাবে?

“When people say, ‘I hate math’ what you’re really
saying is,
‘I hate the way mathematics was taught to
me.’
Imagine an art class, in which, they teach you
only how to paint a fence or wall, but never show you the paintings of the great masters. Then, of course, years later you would say, ‘I hate art.’ What you would really be saying is ‘I hate painting the fence.’ And so it is with math. When people say ‘I hate math’ what they are really saying is ‘I hate painting the fence.’”
