Dr. Md. Shanawez Hossain, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Global Studies & Governance (GSG), and Md. Ohidujjaman, Lecturer A, represented the Department of Global Studies & Governance (GSG) at the International Seminar titled “Creating Pathways for Education, Skills and Employability: A Bangladesh–Malaysia Joint Initiative.”

The seminar was held on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, at the Samson H. Chowdhury Centre, Dhaka Club. It was jointly organized by Chittagong Independent University (CIU) and UCEP Bangladesh in collaboration with HELP University, Malaysia, with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh.

The event brought together academics, policymakers, education leaders, and development practitioners to exchange perspectives on strengthening education, skills development, and graduate employability through Bangladesh–Malaysia collaboration.

📚 Faculty and Staff Development Session | PLO-CLO Mapping and Course Filing

On 26 July 2026, the Department of Global Studies and Governance (GSG), Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), organized a Faculty and Staff Development session on PLO-CLO Mapping and Course Filing.

The session was conducted by Dr. Md. Mohiul Islam, Assistant Professor, Department of Media and Communication, who shared his expertise and practical insights on effective PLO-CLO mapping and best practices in course filing.

The session was attended by all GSG faculty members and administrative staff, demonstrating the department's commitment to strengthening academic quality, enhancing institutional practices, and fostering continuous professional development.

Are you a female undergraduate student from the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS) at IUB? This is your opportunity to spend one semester or one academic year at Kobe College, Japan in 2027 and gain an enriching international academic experience.

📌 Eligibility

✅ Currently enrolled as a SLASS female undergraduate student
✅ Credits completed: Minimum -20 credits, Maximum -70 credits (until Summer 2026)
✅ Minimum CGPA: 3.20
✅ Minimum B+ in ENG 101, ENG 102, or ENG 105 at IUB

📍Important Information

• Duration: 1 semester or 1 academic year (2027)
• Tuition fees will be paid to IUB based on transferred credits
