চার তলা ভবনের তিন তলা ভাড়া হবে দেখে মালিকের সাথে কথা বলতে গেলাম। জরুরী ভিত্তিতে আমার এক পরিচিত ব্যক্তির জন্য বাসা প্রয়োজন ছিলো।

কাঁচা পাকা চুল দাঁড়ির লোকটিকে দেখে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, "আপনি বাড়ির মালিক?"

উনি বললেন, "না।"

জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, "তাহলে মালিক কে?"

- মালিক আল্লাহ তায়ালা।

আমি একটু অপ্রস্তুত হয়ে বললাম, "না মানে, সব কিছুর মালিকই তো আল্লাহ। তবু এটা তো তিনি আপনাকে করার তাওফিক দিয়েছেন। এর ভাড়া তো আপনি পাবেন?"

- না বাবা, ভাড়াও আমি পাবো না। আল্লাহ তায়ালাই পাবেন।

আমি এবার একটু চমকালাম। ভালো করে ভদ্রলোকের দিকে তাকালাম। মনে মনে ভাবলাম, "মনে হয় মাথায় গন্ডগোল আছে।"

তিনি আমাকে বাসার ভেতরে নিয়ে গেলেন। ড্রইংরুমে বসে চা খেতে খেতে বললাম, "আল্লাহ ভাড়া পাবেন বিষয়টা ঠিক বুঝলাম না আঙ্কেল।"

- আচ্ছা বুঝিয়ে দিচ্ছি। আমার ছয় ছেলেমেয়ে। চার তলা বিল্ডিয়ে ফ্ল্যাট আছে আটটা। ছয় ছেলেমেয়ের জন্য ছয়টা। আমরা বুড়াবুড়ি থাকি একটায়। বাকি ফ্ল্যাটটি আল্লাহ তায়ালার নামে ওয়াকফ করা। সেটি থেকে যা আয় হবে তা আল্লাহ তায়ালার পথে খরচ হবে। সেভাবেই ডিড করে দিয়েছি।

-বাহ্ বেশ ভালো তো বিষয়টা। তা তিন তলা আল্লাহ তায়ালা পেলেন কেন? অন্য কোন ফ্ল্যাট নয় কেন?

- সব ছেলেমেয়েদের নিয়ে বসে লটারী করেছি। যার ভাগ্যে যে ফ্ল্যাট পড়েছে, সেটা তার।

আমি একটু নড়েচড়ে বসলাম। বললাম, "এটা কেন করলেন?"

চাচা বললেন, "বাবা, মনে করো, আল্লাহ তায়ালা এসে বললেন, আমি তোর পরিবারের সাথে থাকতে চাই তাহলে আমি কী করতাম! আমি কী পাগল হয়ে যেতাম না আল্লাহ তায়ালাকে রাখার জন্যে?"

- নিশ্চয়।
- সেটাই হয়েছে। আমি বাসা করার সময় আটজনকে পরিবারের সদস্য মনে করেছি। একজন সদস্য মহান আল্লাহ। সেজন্য সবকিছুতেই তার জন্য একটা ভাগ থাকে।

- সবকিছু বলতে?

-সবকিছু বলতে মনে করো, যখন চাকুরী করতাম তখন বেতনকে পরিবারের সদস্য দিয়ে ভাগ করতাম। যখন আমাদের প্রথম সন্তান হলো তখন আমরা তিনজন সদস্য হলাম। তিন জনের জন্য যা খরচ হতো, সে অনুপাতে আরেকজনের খরচ বের করে নিতাম। সেটা আল্লাহ তায়ালার পথে ব্যয় করতাম। এরপর যখন সদস্য বেড়েছে, তখন সে অনুপাতে আল্লাহ তায়ালাও ভাগ পেয়েছেন।

আবার আমার আম বাগানের ক্ষেত্রেও তাই। আট ভাগে ভাগ করে কিছু আম গাছ আল্লাহ তায়ালার ভাগে পড়েছে। সেগুলোর আম বিক্রি করা টাকা আল্লাহ তায়ালার পথে খরচ হয়।

আমি চাচার কথা শুনে মুগ্ধ হয়ে গেলাম। আমার মনের মধ্যে তোলপাড় হতে লাগলো। একটু আগে যাকে দেখে মানসিক সমস্যার কথা মনে হয়েছিলো, এখন তার প্রতি শ্রদ্ধায় আমার চোখ দিয়ে পানি গড়াতে লাগলো।

ভাবলাম, এই লোকগুলোর আমল কোন পর্যায়ের। মহান রব ইনাদের ভেতরে কী অসীম জায়গা করে নিয়েছেন!
