Barisal University, Bangladesh

It is the only general public university in Barisal division and the country's 33rd public universit Zillur Rahman appointed Professor Dr. Md.

The declaration for establishing a Public University in the then Barisal division was made by the Founder of Bangladesh, the Father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1973.
