বিপিএলের ৩য় আসরে বরিশাল বুলসকে সমর্থন জানাতে বরিশাল জিলা স্কুলের নবম শ্রেণীর শিক্ষার্থীরা তৈরি করেছে ফ্ল্যাশ মব। আজ সকালে নগরীর ফজলুল হক এভিনিউ সড়কে এ ফ্ল্যাশ মবের ভিডিও ধারন করা হয়। এতে প্রায় ২০ জন শিক্ষার্থী অংশগ্রহন করে। আর পুরো দৃশ্য ধারন করার কাজে ব্যবহৃত হয় অত্যাধুনিক ক্যামেরা। এখন চলছে সম্পাদনার কাজ। ২-১ দিনের ভিতরেই ভিডিওটি ইউটিউবে আপলোড করা হবে বলে জানিয়েছে শিক্ষার্থীরা।

বরিশাল জিলা স্কুলের ফুলের বাগান থেকে বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির গাছ চুরি করে কেটে নেওয়া হয়েছে। গাছ কেটে নেওয়ার চিহ্ন মুছে ফেলতে মাটির সঙ্গে গাছের অবশিষ্টাংশের ওপর ঘাস ও মাটি বিছিয়ে অন্য গাছের চারা রোপণ করা হয়েছে। স্কুলের প্রধান শিক্ষিকা বিষয়টি জানলেও এখন পর্যন্ত কোনো ব্যবস্থা নেননি। অভিযোগ উঠেছে, তিনিসহ কয়েকজ...

Barisal Zilla School is a boys school located in Barisal, Bangladesh. One of the oldest schools in Bangladesh, it has more than two thousand students. Beside the school playground, Barisal Zilla School owns famous ground called Poreshagor. The school celebrated its 175th anniversary on 9-10 December 2005.

It was established on December 23, 1829 as the Barisal English School by the Shrirampur mission. In 1853 the school was renamed the Barisal Zilla School.
