1.

The Barishal University English Language Club (BUELC) is a non-profit educational organization at the University of Barishal dedicated to enhancing students’ English language proficiency while fostering a supportive and friendly English learning environment. Alimuddin (Alim) along with a group of enthusiastic students, with the motto “Learn English today for a better tomorrow,” BUELC was established in 2023 with the primary aim of creating a platform where students can confidently practice and improve their English skills. The club focuses on developing core language competencies including speaking, reading, writing, and listening while simultaneously emphasizing soft skills such as public speaking, communication, leadership, and teamwork. BUELC conducts weekly English speaking practice sessions and provides students with a safe and friendly environment to practice English, build confidence, and enhance their academic and professional potential. To provide a supportive and friendly environment for students to practice and improve their English
2. To enhance students’ proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and listening for academic and professional success
3. To develop public speaking and soft skills, enabling personal and professional growth

3. To shape individuals with linguistic, public speaking and leadership skills, equipping them for success in diverse academic, professional and social contexts

OUR NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
‐ Conducted over 70 English speaking practice sessions
‐ Hosted English essay competition
‐ Arranged English grammar and vocabulary quiz competition
‐ Organized skill development workshop (supported by UNDP)
‐ Launched and executed the English Speaking Video Contest 1.0
‐ Conducted a Seminar on Freehand Writing
