Pathghar is an initiative of MARTIK, a non-profit organization working in Bangladesh. Basically, PATHGHAR (means Reading House) is a non formal pre-primary school for destitute children of remote areas. Initially, it started its journey from one of the most remote and hilly area of Bangladesh- Lama, Bandarban. Pathghar started its activities- choosing area/ para, selecting children, selecting comm

unity, set up school, recruit teacher, purchasing equipment.... after receiving request from the needy community people. A School Management Community formed by the community people; who manage the school of Pathghar............... MARTIK only support those community initiatives. At present, there are only 10 children at Lama Pathghar school; which situated in Onghla Para, Lama, Bandarban. From next year, it has been planned to extend its service for 15 students. MARTIK collect individual supports and donation for financing at Pathghar school. It always encourage its friends and well wishers to support on monthly and yearly basis.
