We're incredibly proud to feature alumna Mina Akter, whose path from Primeasia University's Department of Pharmacy has led her to prestigious research roles at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Mina's journey began with a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences at Primeasia, where her undergraduate thesis on insecticide effects ignited a passion for biomedical research. This academic curiosity propelled her to pursue a Master's degree in the USA, followed by significant contributions in radiation oncology at Johns Hopkins University.

Currently, as a Research Technician at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, Mina focuses on groundbreaking radiopharmaceutical therapy and targeted radiation approaches for cancer treatment.

Reflecting on her journey, Mina shares, "What matters is continuing to build your skills, reaching out to mentors, gaining research experience, being open to new fields, and not allowing one rejection or setback to define what you are capable of."

The Department of Law, Primeasia University successfully organised a vibrant and insightful Mock Trial Session for the students of Batch 223 as part of the Trial Advocacy (Criminal) Course (LLB 4007).

Conducted under the dedicated guidance of the course teacher, Adv. Sejuti Khatun, the session offered students a valuable platform to translate their classroom learning into practical courtroom experience.

The occasion was further enriched by the presence of the esteemed guest, S. K. Imran Kabir, Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh and Assistant Public Prosecutor, Special Judge Court, Dhaka. His presence and valuable insights added a meaningful dimension to the learning experience.

Held at the Moot Court Room of the Department of Law, the Mock Trial brought together legal knowledge, advocacy skills, and practical experience in a lively and interactive setting. Students actively participated in the simulated courtroom proceedings, making the session both educational and memorable.

As one of the concluding sessions of the course, the event served as a meaningful opportunity for aspiring legal professionals to experience the dynamics of courtroom advocacy and strengthen their practical understanding of criminal trial procedures.

Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Primeasia University successfully organized a seminar titled "Advances in Nutritional Science: From Functional Food Components to Human Health" today at the university's IQAC Conference Room.
The seminar commenced at 11:00 AM with a welcome address delivered by Dr. Md. Abdus Salam Mondol, Chairman of the Department of BMB and Chairperson of the event.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Vice Chancellor of Primeasia University, emphasized emphasized the critical role academic institutions play in promoting health science and driving research collaboration. He highlighted the vital importance of holding regular scientific seminars to encourage critical thinking, bridge gaps between academia and industry, and generate solution-oriented research for global healthcare challenges.
The key highlights of the academic sessions were featured presentations by renowned international experts from Tohoku University, Japan:
• Keynote Speaker: Hitoshi Shirakawa, PhD, Professor at the Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Tohoku University, Japan, delivered a keynote address how processing techniques like stabilization and fermentation unlock rice bran's therapeutic potential to combat lifestyle-related metabolic and chronic conditions.

• Guest Speaker: Yusuke Ohsaki, PhD, Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Tohoku University, Japan, presented his modern research beyond coagulation, Vitamin K functions as a critical cofactor, gene expression regulator, and anti-inflammatory agent influencing bone metabolism, vascular health, lipid homeostasis, and cellular stress responses.
The formal proceedings concluded with an interactive Q&A session, a vote of thanks presented by Tafriha E Tasdika, Assistant Professor, Department of BMB, PaU, followed by a celebratory photo session with all guests, speakers, and participants.

🏭 **Industry Visit to Sanjana Fabrics Limited.**

The BBA Program of Primeasia University successfully organized an industry visit to *Sanjana Fabrics Limited* for its BBA students on 29th August, 2026.

Through this visit, students gained first-hand exposure to the integrated operations of a textile manufacturing organization, including production processes, cost and inventory management, procurement and supply chain coordination, quality control, resource utilization, and operational decision-making. The experience helped them understand how accounting, management and operations work together to achieve efficiency, maintain quality, and support organizational performance.

The visit was arranged under the initiative of Mst. Afroja Aktar, Associate Professor and Director, BBA Program, to provide students with an opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world business practices.

Sincere thanks to the University’s top management authorities for providing transportation facilities and continued support. We also express our heartfelt appreciation to the management and team of Sanjana Fabrics Limited. for their valuable time, warm hospitality and cooperation in making the visit an enriching learning experience.

Primeasia University Law Students Visit Jatiya Sangsad

Dhaka, 27 August 2026: As part of an effort to connect legal education with practical experience, students of the Department of Law, Primeasia University, visited the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban (National Parliament House) today.

The students had the opportunity to witness the proceedings of the Third Session of the 13th Parliament and visit important parts of the Parliament complex, including the Parliament Library. The visit provided them with practical insights into parliamentary procedures, the law-making process, and the role of the Jatiya Sangsad within Bangladesh’s constitutional and democratic framework.

The visit was particularly significant for the Law students, as it allowed them to relate their classroom knowledge of the Constitution, legislation, and parliamentary procedures to actual parliamentary proceedings.

The educational visit was initiated and coordinated by Department of Law student Mohtasim Alam Maruf (232-019-053). At the conclusion of the visit, he expressed gratitude and conveyed thanks on behalf of the students to the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat and the concerned officials for providing the students with the opportunity to observe parliamentary proceedings and visit the Parliament complex, as well as for their cooperation and hospitality.

The visit contributed to strengthening the students’ practical understanding of the rule of law, constitutional values, democratic practices, and the legislative process. It also served as a valuable learning experience in preparing them for their future roles as legal professionals.

For the students of the Department of Law, Primeasia University, the visit to the Jatiya Sangsad will remain a meaningful educational experience that brought the study of law, the Constitution and democracy closer to reality.
