Berger Paints Bangladesh proudly presents the 2nd Edition of the Berger Award for Interior Design (BAID) 2025, celebrating innovation, creativity, and excellence in interior design across Bangladesh.

As part of its ongoing commitment for recognizing the creative works of architects and interior designers, Berger Award for Interior Design (BAID) was first introduced in 2023. This year, with the 2nd edition of the program, we are continuing the mission to foster excellence in interior design by recognizing and uplifting talents in the field of Interior Design – offering an inclusive platform for certified architects, professional interior designers, artists, and self-taught creatives.

We will be taking submissions in two categories:
1. Professional: For participants with academic or professional certification or training in design-related disciplines such as architecture, interior design, fine arts, or visual arts.
2. Amateur: For self-taught designers without formal design certification. (Professionally certified individuals are not eligible for this category.)

In the rural landscape of Lokkhipur, a modest barrel-vaulted concrete mosque has been slowly taking form since 2021. Built over time, it reflects the perseverance of a community and the quiet strength of collective faith.

The design is stripped to its essence — a single, column-free prayer hall where proportion, light and air define the experience. Slender slit openings and a curved concrete vault create a space that feels infinite yet serene, its atmosphere shifting gently with the sun and breeze.

Though the mosque is yet to finish, it already breathes with life — a place where architecture becomes both shelter and spirit.
