This post is about vocabulary development and its importance for your little scholars. Knowing different words and how to use them, even at a rudimentary level, can help your little scholar a whole lot when it comes to reading comprehension. This is why, with the Little Caribbean Readers book series, from the readers to the textbooks, I use a lot of familiar words that your scholar may have heard before, but have never seen it written. This will give them a boost for sure!

We're working on some basic sentence structure today. This poses a challenge to my little scholar and practices a lot of different skills, including reading, reading comprehension, writing sentences with correct spacing, honestly the list goes on. I only assign 2 or 3 of these per session for now, since she just turned 5.
