Past students, teachers, parents and supporters of the Alleyne School, St. Andrew Barbados The best school in the island.
The first Secondary school in Barbados to go co-educational and the first and only to recognise and perpetuate the fact that boys and girls, men and women have to live in the world together in harmony, and the earlier they start, the more realistic it will be.

๐๐'๐ ๐ฎ ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ!๐๐๐ Welcome to the start of Alleyne Week 2026, an initiave of our Alleyne School Barbados April 26th - May 2nd.
It is during this week, as we do annually, led by the school, supported by its alumni and PTA, that we acknowledge the anniversary of our institution's creation.
Established in 1785 by its founder Sir John Gay Alleyne, Alleyne School remains the 4th oldest public secondary school in Barbados.
Given the late Sir John was born April 28th 1724, the annual Founder's Day Service at the school, usually occurs on a chosen day closest to April 28th - National Heroes Day Barbados - a Public holiday.
How interesting it is, that the birthdate of Alleyne School's founder is coincidentally designated "National Heroes Day".
This therefore explains why Alleyne week encompasses the traditional Founder's Day and other celebratory activities hosted on the remaining school days nearest to our National Heroes Day.
2026 continues a tradition of celebrating the pride which remain ours i.e our staff, current and past students, parents, family, friends and other well wishers.
"241 State of Mind" is this year's theme of the week. Our individual and collective mindset must forever be one of "Aliis Non Sibi" For others, not just ourselves.
It is a motto of excellence, a state of mind, even now as we mark 241 years of existence as a school, contributing significantly to Barbados.
During this week and beyond, let us as Alleynians, the global citizens we are with bajan roots and sharing a common secondary country school bond - let us think about how our actions, our work, our volunteerism in areas of positive endeavor impact the lives and existence of those around us.
Alleynians! this time is ours, this week is ours to celebrate 241 years of history, of growth, academic and sporting exellence.
As we celebrate and flaunt our "241 State of Mind", our Alleyne School association and unwaivering pride, let us do so without fear and without hesitation.
Show off whatever symbol and/or branded A.S memorabilia in your possession - wear it, display with pride. Show off our positive state of mind! 241 years!! ๐๐๐--ASAA

Reposted from A moment of unity, remembrance, and respect.
Today, Alleynians stood together in support and reflection as we paid our final respects to our fellow Alleynian, Ade Hunte. In times like these, we are reminded that the Alleyne spirit extends far beyond the classroomโit lives on in the bonds we share and the way we show up for each other.
The Alleyne School Alumni Association extends sincere condolences to Ade's relatives and friends.
May his soul rest in peace, and may we continue to uplift one another in moments of loss and beyond.
