Access Program Tuzla

Tuzla Access Program students started the lesson with an “Unscramble the word” competition, followed by a speaking activity in which they had to choose one of the 30 different topics related to hobbies, social issues and personal characteristics. They had to give an impromptu speech in front of the class about the chosen topic. They finished the class by playing a game “Which one is different? Why?”.

Tuzla Access program students listened to the presentation of an Access alumni Muamer Seljubac. Muamer participated in the Access program during his high school years. He represented Access Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 10th Access Anniversary Celebration program in the United States in 2014. During his presentation he talked about the importance of the Access program and the way it serves as a bridge in connecting people all around the world while giving them an opportunity to learn more about culture, language and customs as well as enhancing their leadership skills and preparing them for the future. He talked about the cultural differences between USA and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the hospitality which he encountered during his stay and how valuable this whole experience has been for him.

Today Tuzla Access program students practiced vocabulary related to emotions by playing a game based on the TV show Blankety Blank. Later on, they talked about the Oscars and practiced writing and delivering an award acceptance speech.

Today Tuzla Access program students went to the bowling alley. They had an opportunity to practice their bowling skills and to spend some quality time together.

Our ACCESS students visited the American Corner in Tuzla and attended the presentation about the process of applying and studying in the United States of America.

We are so grateful that the adviser at the EducationUSA, Miftari Edita, organized this event for the ACCESS students.

Access program students at the Tuzla American Corner at the EducationUSA info session about US education system and scholarship opportunities for studying in the USA.

What we had in focus today were the presentational skills and team-building. Having been split into two teams, the ACCESS students had cards with questions in their 👐.
By asking those questions, they were practicing the reported speech as they needed to report the answers to the class. Each team presented their findings to the other group, and it was well-organized on the board.

The preparations for the World Scholar's Cup which is going to take place at Sarajevo. We are looking forward to being a part of such global competition.
