France unveils memorial to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide

On July 25, 2025, a memorial dedicated to the 8,372 Bosniak victims of the 1995 genocide in Srebrenica was officially inaugurated at Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris.

🔸 The project was initiated by Solidarité Internationale Bosnie-Herzégovine-France (SIBH-France).
🔸 The memorial stone was made in Bosnia and Herzegovina from gray granite from Travnik, crafted by renowned sculptor Ademir “Ado” Halilović.
🔸 The monument features the map of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the inscription:
“In July 1995, 8,372 Bosniaks were victims of genocide in Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will not forget them.”
The map also serves as a symbolic message to those who deny BiH’s internationally recognized borders.

Nećemo dozvoliti zaborav

Nürnberg, 12. Juli 2025.

✅ Genocid u Srebrenici je pravno utvrđena činjenica;
✅ Njegovo negiranje predstavlja posljednju fazu zločina;
✅ Kultura sjećanja ostaje temelj mira, dostojanstva I međunarodne odgovornosti.

GOVORNICI I NJIHOVE PORUKE:

🔹 Gerhard Groh, (SPD):
„Kultura sjećanja mora ostati živa. To nije pogled unazad, već test savremenog društva – imamo li hrabrosti da ustrajemo uz pravdu I istinu.“

„Srebrenica nije broj.

🔹 Prof. dr. Muamer Džananović, direktor Instituta za istraživanje genocida:
„Genocid nije završen događajem on traje kroz negiranje.

Srebrenica nije prošlost nego opomena savremenom svijetu.
