Sarajevo Model United Nations started in 2014, where a group of senior students from Druga gimnazija decided to act. From 10th to 12th April 2014!

Ceremonija otvaranja zakazana za četvrtak, 10. aprila, u Narodnom pozorištu Sarajevo sa početkom u 14 sati.
Sarajevo Model United Nations 2014 će svečano otvoriti član Predsjedništva Bosne i Hercegovine, g. Željko Komšić!

The opening ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, the 10th April, at the National Theater in Sarajevo, beginning at 14 o'clock.
Sarajevo Model United Nations 2014 will be officially opened by member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Željko Komšić!

We are delighted to invite you on behalf of Druga gimnazija Sarajevo and the group of senior year students to join us on the first UN model conference in Sarajevo from 10th to 12th April 2014.

Sarajevo Model United Nations 2014 is conceived as a simulation of UN conference so that young people can get to know how UN as an organization functions.

We expect 100 high school students from Austria, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to gather and share experiences.

Each school will assign 5 students, provided they speak English fluently, that will attend the conference along with a supervisor (probably a teacher).

They should arrive a day earlier, on 9th April. Along with the conference that will last for 3 days, we have prepared various sport and cultural activities for all of the participants. The idea is that people taking part in the conference get to know each other as well as historic and cultural landmarks.

Students of Druga gimnazija will provide accommodation for all of the participants.

If you intend on taking part in the conference, the only cost you will have is transport to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
